it doesn't cost any poster here one shiny penny to be respectful when disagreeing with their wounded comrades.. there is really just no excuse, in my opinion for getting personal.. .
personal means actually naming a person and referring to them in a way that provokes a defense on their part to a perceived insult.. a general statement such as "the rich" or "the poor" or "democrats" or "republicans" is quite different from a statement about "joe", "mary", "jose" or that places them in a disparaging context.. example: "republicans are racist" is quite different from "joe is racist.

MIL letter to my wife

our kids are in college, also inactive but are baptised.
my wife went back to college, getting her degree this month at age 48!

Question about convention speaker procedure
by JeffT inso i know they have someone monitoring everything that gets said from the platform.
what happens if the speaker gets way off script?
for example, one of our fading elders decides to just start saying what he knows.

Good solid comments on this topic. I can confirm much of it; when I gave DC parts they monitored all outlines in the chairman's office I watched them doing it, and yes, after my parts they would always bring me back to the chairman's office for a possible de-brief. I never had anything said to me other than "atta boy" myself but I knew of a couple brothers that got talked to about some infraction usually going overtime.

@ Flipper - Getting media coverage of WT Shunning is one of the main efforts atm. The video was meant to reach the mainstream populace and press, to educate them about this destructive practice.
As for buying airtime, I have purchased air for clients before and the cost depends on the area but can be as little as $10 per 30 seconds on small cable channels and as much as tens of thousands on other venues so I doubt that will happen anytime soon. But who knows if people donate and the funds are there it would be great.

their leaders, the governing body, promote and enforce extreme shunning among their members to the point of cutting off the tie of family bond in the name of jehovah, well, really for the watchtower since no where in the bible promotes such practice.. .
