she wanted me to give all her well-wishers a big hug and thank you.. her granddaughter may or may not have seen the video yet.
i decided not to give a dvd copy to her fellow employees...for now.

Question:
Why not just txt your daughter the url of the YT video with a line that says, "You grandma has been thinking of you, watch this when you can."
What would the harm in that be I wonder?

i have been looking through the various posts on director sites that i can't seem to post on, about the bluring problem that people are discussing, and none of them are what i'm experiecing.
i have used sony vega to upload stuff on youtube and it was no problem.
I don't have Sony Vegas have been a long time Adobe Premiere / After Effects guy. In the past when I've had render-quality issues I have just exported a small clip of a project (like 10 seconds) with different settings until I found the right balance between compression and quality.

i've been in need of a new laptop for a long time.
no, i mean it - a really long time.
the old dell that we have has a floppy lid and is woefully underpowered although it does build up my upper body strength every time i pick it up.. the last 6 months has been a bad time to buy something new though with the haswell processors on the horizon promising better battery life and also screen technology seems to have been leaping ahead recently to a new hi-dpi standard.. so apple finally released their mac book pro and at the same time dell has released an xps 15 ultrabook which looks like a pretty good alternative and probably better 'value'.. pro's and con's?
I have a massive high end Mac Pro at work, and it was grossly expensive, over $10,000 stuffed in that big silver box. If money is not a concern then get the Apple.
But for the same amount of $$ I can usually get two Windows machines that work just as fast and are not so overpriced.
