Story of a GB ass-kisser

i was reading a life story article in the latest watchtower and had a few thoughts about it i thought i'd share here.

these life story things are always so depressing to me - this one is slightly interesting because it is told by a current "governing body helper".. it's called "full time ministry - where it has led me.

" reading it i just got the impression that this guy (robert) was aiming to be a gb member but fell short and ended up being a gb "helper".

Great job disassembling the article and reading between the lines. It very much rings true.

When I was at Brooklyn HQ I saw plenty of ass kissing and those were the guys that always ended up with the best jobs and their faces in the magazines.

Since absolutely nothing good has ever been accomplished by any sites critical of WT they should all just go away... yeah that will help everyone a lot....

Keep up the good work negative crusaders for nothing! Another "worthless" site exposing WT flaws and errors has bitten the dust thanks to your lack of effort or support!

Growing a beard!!

i am doing one of my dreams for a while: growing a beard.

it may not seem like much, but it's quite the experience for me.

it's probably a rite of passage from jw to exjw lol.. besides the itchyness, i hate it that it curls so much (i have hairs that naturally start to curl after a certain length).. anyone here have tips on taking care of a beard?

his threads often had me in stitches and he had a real knack of hooking you into the story so that you kept reading.

WT Library 2013 Availability

does anyone know where there might be a link to an english watchtower library 2013?

i don't know why i download an illegal copy every year - probably so i can take the mick...... all i can find is an italian version - the only italian i can speak is on the menu at our local restaurant......

Thanks for the update Eden- you are on track and God has big plans for you bro. You are one step closer to being out. It was a huge relief when I stepped down and got them off my back, it made my fade a lot easier.

Of course in the end my best friend ratted me out anyway at the urging of my uber-elder father in law.

The eye and the brain are incredibly good at pattern-matching and at seeing and making connections between seemingly random data...even when the data actually IS RANDOM. Ergo, sometimes we see what we want to see.

Examples:

• Flying saucer photo from 1960s believed to THIS DAY by some to be proof was prooved to be a pie tin tossed in the air.

• A satellite photo of the martian surface showed a face, PROOF that the little green mars men were trying to communicate with us. When the same spot was later viewed from another angle the "face" was a completely unrecognizable pile of rocks.

• Crop circles, proved to be done by a farmer with a simple homemade device.

• Jesus' face in a tortilla, grilled cheese sandwich, et al.

On and on it goes. And I believe in a higher power personally but these silly photos do not prove anything at all.
