I could NOT go to war, and if I was forced, I would rather be killed than shed innocent blood. War after all is between GOVERNMENTS and not the people.

ex-JW's : Would you go to war?
by Jim Lad inmy ex-brother in law phoned this morning and asked me how i felt about going to war now that i'm not in the org anymore.
with so many years of being told not to i wonder how many of us still feel that way.
would you be worldly conscientious objectors or would you defend...etc.... i'm not trying to antaganize or be inappropriate.

Pinch ME Please I Must be Dreaming!
by Cassiline ini woke up this morning as you all did to this chaos that has enveloped our country, for those of you outside our country i am sure you were just as shocked.
nothing as devistating has happened during my lifetime.
although for some of you in countrys where terriosm is an everyday occurence i now can see the horror and heartache you must deal with on a daily basis.

Cassiline,
that is propaganda in full swing, to be expected at a time like this. Dont believe all you see on TV, and realise theres a lot more going on you DONT see.

LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER
by You Know inperhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.
as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.
since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

peacable = true religion
by Moxy inplease help me out a bit with this.. jws, as a religion, are taught to live peacably.
they do not go to war nor will they generally support it.. now, if i were to play the role of an apologist, i think i would just keep hamering on this point.
"catholic killing catholic and protestant killing protestant" was such a great phrase and ties in so nicely with johm 13:35. now, let me play devils advocate and hear some rebuttals.

The JW's are always boasting how they fulfil the swords into plowshares and neither will they learn war anymore scripture... yet, on my final shepherding call, they said they were engaging in "spiritual" warfare with me.
Hmmmm....

FREE happiness tips
by ozziepost init seems part of the experience of seeing the truth about 'the troof' is an abundance of negative feelings.
this can be detrimental even if it is necessary.. so in the interest of helping us balance out our negative feelings, here's a list of "happiness tips":.
1. think happy.

Do you get it yet?
by Deacon inthere are about 6 billion people that live on this planet today.
it is most intriguing to realize that we are nearly all identical.
our genetic, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual similarities far outweigh our differences.. humans are human whether primitive or industrialized, male or female, african, asian or caucasian, or tall or short.. the paradox is that each of us also feels so unique that we spend the greater part of our lives trying to explain ourselves to each other in the hope that we can be heard or understood, as if no one else could possibly know what it is like to live in our skin.. if we can agree on nothing else, we seem to agree that one of the primary threads that run throughout all of human existence is struggle.
