See that wall? That hard brick wall?
Hit you head against it. Repeatedly. Fun isnt it?
Thats the equivalent, unfortunately, of trying to get a spiritual discussion going on here.
this is normie thoughts on the threads about the truth..... i have huge doubts about a lot of things about the org.
i have been a jw for 20 yrs and still active(family reasons).
but nobody but nobody has refuted to my mind, the fact nobody does the evangelizing work jesus did.

to all loyal jehovah's witnesses:.
the bible says that at the mouth of three witnesses let every matter be firmly established.
so i'm curious... if you had to choose only three, what three things about the watchtower society and/or it's teachings convinces you beyond any doubt that jehovah's witnesses has the truth about the bible and is the sole representative of jehovah on earth today?.

You are so correct in saying that carrying Jehovah's name lays an extremely heavy responibility on those carrying it.
Lastly, you cited Romans 2:20 about the "framework" of knowledge, as that verse says. In context, Paul was chiding the Judaizers in the Roman congregation. In the very next verse, he tells them -- in effect -- "If you have so much knowledge, why don't you practice what you preach?" See verse 24, where he summarizes his argument, "For the name of God is being blasphemed on account of YOU people among the nations, just as it is written."So the context of the "framework of knowledge" shows that knowledge without a proper attitude or right works to back it up can actually lead to God's frown of disapproval
That is the way I see things.
Your thoughts are very reasonable. Nice to see someone who is willing to discuss sensibly.
Keep the faith in Jehovah,
Take care
three reasons why we believe the jehovah's witnesses have the truth.. 1. we will live forever in paradise and watch everything die over and over.. 2. because we don't trust our familymembers or friends who were very close to us, are apostates now.
but the governing body, who we don't know at all, trust our lives to and do everything they say.. 3. governing body can't find willing women to have oral sex with.
so nobody can.. enchanter
My mum always said, if I cant say something nice then to say nothing at all. Im going to start listening to that advice.
My reply to you ss, and in advance to the rest of you smart ass anti Gods - nothing at all

I refuse to be deliberately led around in circles explaining this.
ISP, you have had MDS's exclusive attention, he was trying to explain but YOU wouldnt listen. YOU made stupid remarks. You just dont want to hear something that doesnt agree with your own (wrong) thoughts.
i've heard many people tell me about bible prophesy.
if the bible can predict future events then it stands to reason that those events are predetermined and man has no choices in this world.
think about all the choices you've made in your life and how different life for you would be if you had done things differently.
In addition, I believe it's entirely possible that God decided to send more than one "messenger" and write more than one book.
Yep, Jehovah sent more than one prophet. Many in fact. 66 books were written.
And, MDS is another in the long line of prophets. Test his message with the Bible. It all adds up correctly.

The Jehovah's Witness believe three inportant things, that certainly point toward them as being modern day Israel:
They are:
1 - Called by God's own name, as were Biblical Israel
2 - Monothestic, or a one God concpt, just like the Biblical Israelites
3 - Iconoclastic, or no images used in worship, again, like natural Israel
JW's certainly have a framework of the truth (Romans 2:20)

I AM NOT A PROPHET
I HAVE NEVER SAID I WAS A PROPHET!!!
those of us who have frequented h2o and have otherwise encountered our fundie friends from the usa have many times been reminded of their strange arguments and ideas.
all of them seem to long back to biblical times and particularly the times of the old testament.
they have got the idea that those days were so wonderful when everybody was adhering to biblical morals, values and such.

I dont have the time to go into it now, but if people were living honest lives adhering to their CREATOR's principals, then a theocratic rule would be an absolute BLESSING!
As we sure will find out soon.
It wont just be America either. It will be global.
i've been asked to post this on behalf on someone.. can a person have any action taken against them if they refuse to accept a shepherding call?.
the circumstances are that they do not go out on service, but are regular at meetings.
they want to serve jehovah, but have lost all faith in the eldership arrangement.
Angharad, pass on MDS's posts to the person. Im sure they will find some answers.
