  the 144,000 must all be selected first!

  in another thread, entitled the ransom paid, its author raised a most important question -- a question that surely every person ought to be determined to know the answer to.

  im posting this also as a reply in that thread, but i feel that its such an important issue that the answer (as i see it) be given the widest publicity possible here on this forum.

  Because they must meet the strict requirement of being truly “holy”. Such people are quite rare. The only ones that can wear that title are those who are so very dedicated to God’s cause that they won’t even need the help of Christ’s kingdom to become holy. They will have achieved that standing during their life now. They, by reason of their holiness, will have already qualified for LIFE during their present lifetime.

  So in effect, they will not need the ransom of Christ? Only the sinners, the unholy need Christ's ransom. The righteous have no need to be saved.

  Is there truly a person anywhere who fits? Has there ever been? Not even Moses, David, or even Abraham fit that. They STILL recognised their need for Christ's ransom, they were considered righteous, but they all knew they were not without sin.

  The fact is ALL need the help of the kingdom, ALL need to drink of its water to have life. One cannot have life without drinking, one cannot have life outside the kingdom.

  they DO claim to be God's earthly channel. Which means to make their claim true, they MUST be getting their info from God. (Which is not the case)

  Any person or organization that states that something will take place on a certain date or in a certain year and then is wrong about it, is a false-prophet. No matter where, when or how they got this information and no matter who it is for.

  if it is God's earthly channel, then it must alegedly get its info from God. No amount of clever wording and wriggling will hide their true nature from JAH. They may be able to fool man, but no man can fool God.

  LOL! That's probaly your favorite Scripture, right? It relieves you of any personal responsibility to honestly look at the world's situation.

  The only thing showing love for enemies relieves a person of is hypocrisy and hatred toward them. I fail to see how not loving those who persecute you is in harmony with Christ's teaching.

  To be honest, I couldnt care less who you hate, all I know is by your lack of love you prove yourself not to be one of Christ's true followers, although you profess to be one.

  I really want to know why I am going to be condemned because I refuse to commit idolatory with a religion even you acknowledge are in trouble. Interestingly, this same religion your beliefs are based on. Heard the saying you can trust a theif, but you can never trust a liar?

  Why not put your trust in JAH for a change and listen to what Christ says to you and not what man says?

  As for the Armageddon thing, the big A happens after the 1000 year war, it is the Gog - Magog war, the war where Satan and his followers try to get into the city and steal the fruit from the tree of life, and JAH stops it.

  Even the book of Daniel, there is no indication that both kings are destroyed, only the South, there is no mention that the North is destroyed. Which shows that an earthly power will stil lremain after this war ends.

  so YK, the gist of your message is:

  The end is near, we are all going to die, and its tough shit we are all bird food?

  Fact, the world has been on thin ice like this many times before, Cuban missile crisis, Iraq in the 90's to mention two.

  Fact, there have always been people declaring the end is imminent. But Christ told us not to be misled by those. These people are now pushing up daisies in the continuing world.

  Fact, you have proven yourself one of these people we are told not to listen to time and time again with your refusal to love your ENEMY and your outright hypocrisy and blindness.

  Fact, if WW3 kicks off, another worldly power will rise in the place of the fallen one.

  Fact, while there are wars and continue to be reports of wars, the END IS NOT YET! These things must take place, but just because there are wars proves we are not at the end.

  ok ok ok so i stole englishman's phrasing.. one thing i'd been noticing about a certain troll's posts, they seem to center around personal accomplishments.. perhaps, that's not such a bad thing.

  this person obviously isn't getting any encouragement to pursue "selfish desires" by the congregation, therefore he and others feel the need to go bragging.. growing up jw doesn't exactly encourage your creativity; on the contrary it stifles artistic expression and personal growth.. so perhaps there is something that *you* can do very well (or not so well but it's still your thang as jt would say) that is very special.. we all know that dave (seven) is great at art, and tr can pick any damn lock he chooses, but what about the rest of us?.
