You can't back that up, at least scripturally. OT=Law. NT=mercy/grace.
OT=eye for an eye/captial punishment. NT=forgiveness of sins.

i'd like to share some of my self explanatory questions here.
every time i'd ask jw's these questions they would give me bs answers like we will have to wait on jehovah to tell us in the new system or some other lamo thinking stopper.

That's the Old Testament God, isn't it, Knowsnothing?
JW's excel in emphasising that side of God. They ignore the New Testament, or rather, they twist it round to say the same as the Old, whereas Christ brought a new message of a loving father in heaven.
God went from being one of the most punitive, rancorous, petty beings to love, because he sent Jesus Christ? I don't buy it. I thought God was "unchanging in his righteous ways."
I also don't buy that we don't measure up since the minute we are born, because we are "sinners".

Belief and intelligence are two different fields. Islamists blow themselves up and are happy to die for Allah.
How can something as small as a brain understand extremely complicated aspects of the universe, even though it is (supposedly) just a bunch of chemical reactions and electrical signals? But at the same time, this brain can’t create another brain like itself, so how can nature, that has no brain, create a brain?
We just haven't gotten there yet. Our ancestors' brains were preoccupied on not getting eaten, sex, and feeding themselves. It's only now with our technological advances that we can even begin to peer into the complicated brain processes.

Oh, so you say you can work it out from the dates you know from the Bible. I see. So, if Moses wrote his bit of the Bible, as you say, then how did Moses get those dates? I mean, just who was writing it all down way back in the Garden of Eden even before Eve talked to that snake? What did they write with? What did they write on?
Jehovah's Holy Spirit reminded Moses of what to write, along with oral tradition passed down since Adam. They wrote with a special type of poo, it's remarkable how long and smelly it lasts.
But the faithful and discreet slave, that's not exactly the Governing Body, is it?
The faithful and discreet slave are all the anointed on earth today, whom Jesus Christ named over all his belongings. The Governing Body is merely representative of said group.
So the Governing Body represents the faithful slave? So, how and why are the Giverning Body so sure of the exact dates? Who wrote it down in Eden?

The story has nothing to do with hindering the humans, it has to do with hindering the Serpent who has a pretty potent plan for enslave God's people.
And he does it in the most bizarre and non-sensical of ways, he confuses them! Either way you look at it Sab, if you count all the religions that exist today that are not Judeo-Christian based, then according to your logic, all those people have been enslaved by Satan anyways.

I think the problem with these buildings are that they are cash-pits. They require maintenance, upkeep. Even with volunteer work, supplies for maintenance and utilities still have to be paid. Better to liquidate than to continue pouring money in on something with diminishing returns.
