Apostates defeated once again.....
by nananana inbefore the mentally diseased apostates could get their hands on and dissect any information regarding the convention that hadn't been released to regular publishers/elders...the society released the district program on the official site completely and utterly slaying every single demented apostate on the face of the earth.
now have fun dissecting it kiddos, while we big kids get a taste of solid, spiritual meet this summer.
continue drowning in misery while god's people go on rejoicing and enduring these last days.

Timothy was a "superintendent" or an "elder", whatever you want to call it. He had been on missions with Paul before. It was directed at him, and by extension anyone with a position of responsibility.

Doug, that's certainly an interesting avenue you are going through. Me thinks, for example, that a study of comparative religions is very useful as a supplement, such as the thread Bethel - the house of the canaanite god El.
That certainly adds context to what most Biblical Literalists deem the "untouchable, uninfluentiable Word of God."

What if Adam knew his wife, before the sin?
by Nambo ini sometimes wonder how things would have been if adam and eve had procreated before eating from the tree of knowledge, and the ramifications of such.. if any children didnt also eat of the tree, would we now have two groups of humans on earth, one perfect and living forever, and us.. would god have split the two classes of human, putting eden on another planet or dimension or such?.
does this indicate that its all deliberate, that god knew satans plan so let the play unfold before letting adam and eve know each other?.
or does it just mean that satan was allready corrupted and wanted to get his deed done at the very beggining to ensuer he had everyone?.

If you are simply left with a maybe, a what if, no matter how iron-clad the argument looks, you simply can't be 100%.
Then again, that seems like a preferable option to the leap of faith required to believe the Bible as inspired by God.
