The domestication of the wolf to dog is most interesting. The fact remains, however, that wolves and dogs can reproduce. Also, a lot of the mutations present in dogs are actually harmful to their health; shorter legs comes to mind.

The Greatest Show On Earth - A Book Summary In Many Parts
by cofty init was a number of years after i left the watchtower that i finally admitted to myself that i had never really investigated evolution.. i thought i was already an expert on the subject despite everything i knew about it coming form a source that was attacking the theory.
when i began to reserch evolution objectively i was astonished by the breadth an depth of the evidence.
i have been reading books and articles on the subject for around ten years now and always find it to be fascinating and inspiring.. a couple of years ago i began to write a summary of dawkin's book on the jws forum with the intention of helping any lurking jws who could not dare be seen reading the book for themselves.

Why are atheists so intent on scorning "believers"?
by Chariklo inuntil recently, i had never encountered this word "believers" used as it is being used on this board, to describe pejoratively a group of people.
it's not clear to me whether they scorn all who have a faith of some sort.
do they include buddhists, hindus, followers of the baha'i faith, followers of the cargo cult, native americans along with christians, or is it just christians who are honoured with this epithet?.

A theist goes much further and believes in a deity that is involved in the world.
Cofty, what possible negative ramifications could come from it?
I am an anti-theist but it would also be posisble to believe in god and oppose theism.
An anti-theist atheist? How does that work? You oppose a god you don't believe in?

Girls are unpredictable, materialist, and use us, men, as a toy.
by will-be-apostate inwell, it seems like i am going to ruin the domination of raypublishers' topic at this section of the board.
:d. now back to the topic.
the last month i was trying to get "closer" to my classmates and to the others from my highschool.

It is merely a trick that the Illuminati uses to enslave us.
Not unless you are protected.

So what would you call someone that expressed the positive "There is no God".
Generally, that's what's called an anti-theist.

All Scripture is God-breathed
by sabastious in2 tim 3:10-17 - 10 you, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, sufferingswhat kinds of things happened to me in antioch, iconium and lystra, the persecutions i endured.
yet the lord rescued me from all of them.
12 in fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in christ jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Sab, you recommended this thread, but I find it confusing. My left-brained thinking is damaging to me? Huh?
Ok, so scripture is truth, but it isn't always meant to be logical... what, then, do I gain from it?

How is creationism DISPROVED?
by sabastious init is disproven.
but let's start another thread, because this one is being yanked off track again.
creationism/evolution always deserves its own thread.

I said that God is wrongly percieved to be evil to the point where people actually WRONGLY wage war against Him. Human antiquity shows that He, if he exists, has always allowed this possibly because in that process repentance can still take place. The fact that you want to talk about your misconceived ad hominem is telling. Calling you religious is a far cry from you saying I should never win an argument. WHICH IS AN AD HOMINEM. lol.
But, I said you won. You win, Sabastious. There is no arguing your conclusions, whatever they may be.
Then stop asking questions about it and starting it up again.
This is no longer about the OP. You won, remember? This is just a group of friendly people talking. I also wanted to clear up the 'religious fervor' comment. It just made no sense to me at all. All clear.
As a side comment, now that God possibly, maybe, certainly exists, what now? What do we do with this possible/certain knowledge? You've managed to convince me to your side, but I don't see what to do with this possible knowledge? Do you have any tips? Since the 3rd world country people now certainly will/may believe in God, do we ignore their plight of suffering, and certainly/maybe let God do what is best?
I hope/am certain you will provide guidance.

If this "Dr Who" entity actually exists we might first conclude that He is evil. We shouldn't merely stop at this and call it a day. If God IS evil and we have superior morals then we should be waging war with God. However during that war we might understand that first off: it's not possible to destroy God and second: that God is actually good and works in our ultimate interests. This type of thinking can sometimes put atheists into cognitive dissonance because they have filled their minds with anti-God propaganda and also preach it creating the possibility for shame. Now they have to machette through those if they ever come across actual evidence pointing to a God of Righteousness.
My brain has turned to mush. If your arguments have ever convinced anyone, please feel free to post their testimonies. You win on account of default. I do not wish to entertain this discussion any longer.
It was not an ad hominem.
I will repeat again, "where did you find in my responses 'religious fervor'?"
