one of my friends said she couldn't watch anime because of where it was orginated and it was a tradition, if that were true, then everyone in japan would be drawing anime of "tradition" like what the heck?

I've read all the Naruto mangas thus far. It's a damn long series. I also used to watch Inuyasha, watched all of Cowboy Bebop (awsome), all of Trigun (pretty wicked too), some Full Metal Alchemist and just about anything that showed up on Adult Swim.
I don't know if the Boondocks is considered anime (sure looks like it) but it's really funny.

I personally think that physical punishment is the lazy way to discipline. It is easy to hit a child, but a lot more difficult to try to explain to them why it is wrong in a manner that will encourage them not to do it again.
Some children are little devils. I know that if I wasn't spanked, I would've gotten away with a lot of things. I grew up very disciplined and learned to never talk back to my elders.
Spanking let's a child know who is boss (when used appropriately). I don't think anyone is advocating beating their child up half to death.

last tuesday my elderly uncle was taken to the hospital by ambulance in extreme pain.
while he was in er a number of tests and bloodwork were ordered.at approx 3:30 wednesday morning my aunt called me in tears.
the test had revealed three large growths.. .
The Radiologist may have his opinion, I just don't share it. My uncle was healed by the Lord as a result of the many prayers that were made on his behalf and nobody will ever convince me otherwise.
Faith is a beautiful thing. God healed your uncle and not the dying children in Africa. Praise the Lord.
