Happy happy joy joy!

((Swickley)) I'm so sorry.

born with a hearing loss that went undetected until she was eight, kathy buckley grew up in a silent world, her family and teachers assuming she was mentally retarded.she was sexually abused, run over by a jeep, and stricken with cancer all before the age of thirty.rather than be consumed by grief, kathy sought the light of laughter.. kathy buckley not only survived, she went on to become a top female comic, the award winning author of a one - woman show, and a beloved motivational speaker in demand throughout the country.. in "if you could hear what i see,"buckley weaves a remarkable story about the people and events that shaped her life and encouraged her to dream.she reveals the priceless gift she received after a stunning life - after - death experience-----the gift that gave her power.. most of all,"if you could hear what i see"is about a woman who made a choice:to overcome all the obstacles life threw her way,and to meet those challenges with dignity, courage, and laughter.. i thought my life had been a challenge until i experienced kathy buckley sharing hers.i met her in person and after reading her book,"if you could hear what i see"lessons about life, luck, and the choices we make, her words will live in my heart.. if you agree that laughter is one of the most powerful factors in healing in our lives, then read this book.. blueblades who wishes to share a laugh with you.
Thanks so much for that post, Blueblades. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine, isn't it?
And I'm glad you made it through the accident in one piece! ((Blueblades))
i don't know if anyone noticed since i'm not one of the premier posters, but i've been gone for several weeks.
unfortunately, the reason is i was in a very bad car accident.
i can't give too many details, because i don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour.
Here I was thinking that you were simply on sabbatical from the forum...I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I'm glad you are still among us, (((Happyout)))
been a few weeks (feels like months) since i have been here, busy life, busy new job (got punched in the face & back on the first day lol, its all good and the punch was someones way of saying welcome), had a wisom tooth out without being able to numb the gum - blerk, it took 35 minutes to get the dang thing out.
looking for new place to live so i'll get in and out of here as and when i can, i'll be posting less but will be thinking of y'all.
anyhow thats whats happened with me, how is everyone?
So nice to see you here again, Brummie.
the last movie that i saw was radio.
the guy that plays radio act as an autistic preson like my brother, and i cried!
there was also this woman that would laugh when he did certain things and i wanted to tell her to shut up becuz it wasn't funny, she probably didn't kno the difference, but still.
I just saw a movie about a little town named Darkness Falls, and I am still kicking myself for sitting through this BOMB. The so-called evil entity just looked like some kind of giant kabuki puppet/"Scary Movie" thingie swooping down on victim after victim (YAWN)-- yeah, THAT was real scary. After the first fifteen minutes, I wanted to strap this movie into the electric chair and flip the switch. And after the next fifteen minutes, I was ready to sit in Old Sparky myself.
some1 protesting at access 2 their daughter put themselves in a crane causing severe traffic delays in london.

The troubled past of 'Spiderman'
By Tariq Tahir and Nilufer Atik, Evening Standard
5 November 2003
The man who brought London's traffic to a standstill after climbing a crane at Tower Bridge plans to end his protest today. David Chick, 36, has been wearing a Spiderman suit while demonstrating against being denied access to his daughter. Speaking over a walkie-talkie to the Evening Standard, he told for the first time that he had convictions for possession of drugs but denied being a drug-user... click here for the rest of the story...

I just wouldn't want any legit protest against The Brooklyn Boyz to end up being listed in the "wackiest protest" category:

I will miss your posts for sure. Take care, Jourles
goodbye cruel board , oh how i shall miss your warm embrace, as a flaming mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings only to become extra crispy kfc .

i will continue to survive on upon another plain , one without moderation.. .
My heart jumped into my throat when I read the title!
Don't scare me like that!
Sorry to see you go, take care, okay? ((hugz)) <---hugs spelled with a zee means I know you're still only a click away.
Take care, NWS
i was wondering if anyone out there has ever needed to find a new home for a family pet, and if so, how they handled breaking the news to the kids.
we got this dog when he was 13 weeks old and he is now 16 months old.
in the short time we have had him, despite all the love and attention he receives, he has destroyed our home!
As I write this, I am bawling my eyes out just thinking about it - I loved that dog more than I have ever loved most people.
You post reminds me of the time when my younger sibling's pet got really sick and Mom took him to the vet --and came home empty-handed. There was a lot of crying until Mom said that the pet was at "the kitty farm", the place where all really old cats go to play in the catnip and enjoy their golden years. It was a long time 'til it was realized that the cat had actually been euthanized.
I guess Mom said that because she thought a fairytale would make her kids feel a lot better than the truth.
I'm sorry you have to make such a difficult decision, especially now that your boy has become attached to the doggie. Maybe you could have sent the puppy away sooner, but sometimes we humans hold on longer than we should out of hoping that things will change. I know I've been guilty of that.
Sorry I don't really have any helpful advice. Good luck.
