  folks, i'm still buzzing from the news that one of my younger brother's; his wife, is pregnant.

  i'm going to be an uncle, and i'm thrilled about it.

  Mouthy is not feeling well...

  we just returned from visiting mouthy- she is not feeling well -her back is "out "since friday, and she is in so much pain she can hardly walk.

  she is still a trooper,doesn`t complain much but it is obvious it is not easy for her.. she is not able to post much right now because she needs to lie down and rest,but she sends all of you lots of hugs and kisses.with her permission i am writting this, so if someone would like to send her some get well thoughts it would be much appreciated.. thank you all.. get well soon dear grace , we love you very much.

  My mommy is dying.... :(

  i'm off to new york this morning.

  i'm fortunate that my oldest daughter will drive with me, missing class to support her mom and possibly to say a final farewell to her grandma.. my mother has has two strokes this year, and, after the first one in may, told me that she felt like she was dying from the inside out.

  she had another stroke at the end of august, and was eventually put in a nursing home.

  I joined the jst2laws club..

  i went down to see my kids in south texas this weekend and perhaps like job or even jonah i was tested yet alas i returned home victorious after seeing my beautiful children.

  thursday my clutch cable broke in austin..delay of having to see the kiddies the next day...friday i am there 3 or 4 hours and i slice my finger open bad enough to see little bits of fatty tissue and the bone...profuse bleeding.... almost 4 hours of waiting & crap plus 6 stitches in er, i wasn't going to go to the er, but i got yelled at a lot..*lol*....eh finally i get there back to kids and we had a great time shopping,, hanging out, watching harry potter movies, tickling, laughing, and mostly me just watching them play and be themselves.

  this morning rolls around and i leave early..crosswinds and it gets colder as i get closer to dallas, seven and a half hours later i am very glad to be home and i guess like they say...buy your ticket and take your ride.

  Youch! Sounds awful...but it's good to hear that you were still able to have a nice time with your children.

  I'M SICK AND TIRED

  literally, sick and tired.

  burning my candle at both ends is catching up with me.

  14 to 16 hour days at work have me worn out...and i picked up the cold that's been plauging my daughter for a week now.

  What did you day dream about at assemblies?

  as a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.

  if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.

  i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.

  My daydreams would be of getting out of the pantyhose and all and having a rum and coke.

  Would it have been too much for the 'brothers' to spring for a wet bar? Two drink minimum. Tom Cruise could mix the Cocktails.

  LoL..."Super Dub" to the rescue! heh.

  I remember that I also daydreamed that I had the power to stop time a la The Girl, The Goldwatch, & Everything.

  I would use my magic watch to stop time and then rearrange things - maybe balance a fruit bag on the speaker's head, draw a chocolate pudding smile over a few people's mouths, put makeup on a few of the 'brothers' faces to doll them up. Rearrange some folks into compromising positions, lol. You know, nothing too harmful...

  Don't know if anyone mentioned Rick Springfield's song about how everybody keeps confusing him with Bruce Springsteen, "They call me Bruce"...yeah, I am always confusing Rick Springfield and Bruce Springsteen...NOT.

  At assemblies, one of my recurring daydreams was that I could do that Fred Astaire "dancin' on the ceiling" thing, lol.

  At conventions, one favorite daydream was imagining that I was underwater. I would hold my breath for as long as I imagined it would take to make it to the surface.

  also, one scary daydream for either assemblies/conventions was of the Nazi Takeover. I imagined what all of us would look like stacked like cordwood. There's nothing like injecting a good old-fashioned persecution complex in a little kid good times, good times....
