Agnostics and Atheists are not the same but they are similar. Atheists do not know of a God. Agnostics believe but are unsure. The above definitons are more accurate.

Evolution is held by some and maybe most atheists because they actually understand evolution when most Theists shun evolution not really trying to understand it. Evolution does not show how the universe was created or started. It shows how life progresses. Evolution is just a scientific theory that can be proven wrong but has yet to be. Atheists study evolution because it is more tangible then an invisible being. Believe it or not but a theist can believe in evolution, meaning he or she can believe in a creator and see life continuing through evolution. These concepts are not easy to realize until a person actually wants to understand. Understanding evolution with a biased opinion will further no understanding.

Most athesits don't say God doesn't not exist but rather say they have no proof of God. Theists say they have proof through good deeds and the miracle of life and man. Atheists make no claims. Evolution is a theory on its own and is not widely held by most atheists. Agnostics believe God but don't know which one to worshipor how God exists but God exists to them. Atheists are not what you think they are. They hold your exact views. Having the title atheist is not good since it is the non-belief that is whats held. Atheists have no beliefs, just ideas. I hope this has been helpful.

Who was the strangest JW you ever met?

i knew a presiding overseer in the congregation i attened who was possibly the strangest person i ever met.

he took a rigorous position toward the society's view on everything!!!

he was against many things ....including....science fiction, fantasy, the x-files, disneyland, cartoons and football.

I have the winner or should I say the WEIRDEST families I've ever met at the kingdom hall. When I was younger I used to play Atari a lot and it was the thing to do at a friends house if he had Atari too. I was visiting a friend once and he pulled out his Atari and we played all the games he had execpt one. He was not allowed to play Pac-Man. Why you might ask? It had ghosts in it and we all know how the society feels about ghosts and demons and demon possession. Anyway, I'm visiting another friend and his family is more strict when it comes to the societies teachings. He could Pac-Man but he could not play with GI Joe toys because it was about war. He could however play with star WARS toys which clearly had the word WAR in it. Anybody remember the big smurf scare of the 80's? Everybody was afraid of demon possessed smurfs and everybody had a story of how they knew someone who saw a smurf talk,walk across a room, or even the famous "a toy smurf answers the door while out in field service story". Growing up as a JW was too damn confusing for me.
