Temporary Special Pioneer Assignment...?

members of my extended family were recently given a temporary special pioneer assignment as a result of the bible school for christian couples (vomit).. anyone got details on how this works?

why temporary?

is it a testing ground for circuit work or a "we dont want you on our payroll for good so we'll use up what you have to offer and dump you back into reg pio status when this definitely not-cushy assignment is over"?.

Hey problemaddict - not shunned by everyone (i.e. not by immediate family), but by extended family, yes. They said they "would do what the congregation was not willing to do."

thanks for the details BluePill. They're actually being sent within the states to a foreign language territory in an area that is UBER-expensive.

Hubby thinks there will surely be a "good christian couple" who will provide inexpensive lodging. How typical of the WT - offload the financial burden to the friends.

i just happen to have the complete works of josephus, right here in front of me.

josephus wrote several books including the antiquities of the jews.

chapter 3 under sedition of the jews against pontius pilate; concerning christ .... paragraph 3 quote : "now, there was about this time, jesus a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure.

Moreover I believe that particular passage is of dubious authenticity. Spurious, as it were.

i did not know ttatt but how could something thats supposed to be warm, loving and beneficial feel so wrong?

the light went on when i happened to be watching some chat show that had a family of white supremecists on.

some of them have rally helped me to understand and examine again my beliefs.. last new light concerning f&ds=gb has verified the idea that they are popes in the position op pope.. i still believe in god & in his son jesus christ but not in the gb..

my wife got me started watching this show last year.

we've downloaded the previous seasons on netflix and have found it to be really well done.

the story line, scenery,costumes,old cars and compelling characters have us hooked.

The last time we went to a "meeting" was actually for my SIL's wedding 3ish years ago. I was in her wedding. She had a (very) good idea of our status, but she was so H-bent on having both her SILs in her wedding, she ignored it until after her wedding. Immediately afterwards, even though we introduced them to each other, they proceeded to shun us wholly.

I content myself in knowing that I was in all her photos and thus ruined them. and I wore ruby red lipstick and fishnets.
