Watchtower caught lying about the real reason Beth Sarim was built
by Diogenesister inanother incredible catch from a you tuber, this time jane doh, who caught watchtower fooling us again, this time over the reasons beth sarim was really built.. of course we knew rutherford lived in beth sarim during the winter (ostensibly because of his poorly chestđ).
however even we didn't guess he blatantly got the poor jws, or bible students as they were, to cough up from the proceeds of their book sales enough to buy him a "cali-fornication" mansion (for he & the girlfriendđ) with absolutely no pretence (at the time) it was for the "ancient worthies".that came later.... how did she know?
because at the time it was built, in the 1920s, watchtower had no belief that anyone was to live on a "paradise earth" - they had not even formulated the concept of a paradise earth yet for the ancient worthies to live on and believed all jws were to live in heaven.

I always enjoy watching people of a nation created by immigrants looking for a better life, slagging off and pulling up the drawbridge for the current immigrants looking for a better life.

Will JWs get DFed if they are caught with old JW publications?

No, not at all. There are publications dating back to early 70s on the Jw app, - although no âCommentary on Jamesâ. Selective quoting from that could be fun. -

With enough sensible stuff to criticise JWs on, why do some XJWs come up with BS stories like this?

Cowardly Change of Policy in the UK
by Slidin Fast inthe britain branch has called a confidential meeting tonight with a controversial announcement.
the message is of such import that it was transmitted by word of mouth only, nothing in writing, ears only.
a decision made by the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and transmitted orally down the chain of command, a decision proving the leadership of this spirit lead body.. the gdpr laws in the uk have been interpreted by wt lawyers so that all record keeping relating to the public has been banned, telephone witnessing and letter writing also, forbidden.. now in a show of supreme bravado the publishers are to be informed that if they wish to, if they dare, they may write to people at their own risk.. bear in mind, nothing is in writing.

I have heard from two people that still attend that they are having an additional 30 minute session in individual ministry groups before their weekend meeting.

Pistolpete - there is software that is used to monitor truck drivers to tell when they are sleepy at the wheel. Presumabley the owner of the truck company did not design the software, just gets the infomation it collects. Therefore, I think WT might get access to software it can use to monitor people's faces and discern how they are listening/engaging.

The Guardian: Former Jehovah's Witness elders call for mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/aug/10/former-jehovahs-witness-elders-call-for-mandatory-reporting-of-child-sexual-abuse?fbclid=iwar13k3rzferkzvjj5lbxegzhjr1dkfw34gqchgms4gdmhjufcv24hpzjcco.
two former jehovahâs witness elders have called for mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse, saying the organisation believes it is âanswerable only to godâ.. duncan corbett, who was an elder for 18 years, told the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse that the protection of minors and the handling of abuse claims must be taken out of the churchâs hands.
âlet them deal with the sin and the authorities handle the crime,â he told a hearing in london.. lloyd evans, another former elder who now campaigns against religious fundamentalism, said: âthis is a group that feels they are answerable only to god ⌠they donât feel as though they need to yield to any regulations that are imposed on them.â.

@phizzy, itâs not going to happen Mandatory Reporting has been considered many times in the UK and consistently rejected, for many good reasons. Donât get too excited!
