Entirely Possible, you sound just like a tired old Watchtower broken record.
You sound like someone that prefers to sling insults rather than defend the stuff you spout. Seriously, try defending a single thing you said using logic and reason rather than try to smear the person questioning what you say. You may find yourself smarter for the experience.
You reveal a deep ignorance about what pastors and priests actually do in their jobs.
You crack me up with your silly assumptions. Perhaps you you try learning something before you make ASSumptions.
It was the JWs who decided that fulltime clergy should not be paid, nor even part time, for that matter.
I put this last on purpose to show how silly you are. Jesus and Paul both preached against money in religion. You should try actually NOT being ignorant about the stuff you say. You might find it fulfilling.
Doctors may be doctors because they love to heal, but they still deserve to be paid.
Doctors aren't preachers. Fail. You fail so hard if you were an asteroid heading towards earth, you would wipe out the dinosaurs with the impact of your failure in that singular statement.
The thing is, Jesus and his apostles had very different circumstances and different objectives than the modern day church.
There are plenty of organizations that do good works and dispense help without getting paid. The simple fact is that preachers that get paid defy the words of their origins. Claiming that times are different could be something you could build on, but the fact is you have yet to demonstrate why or how they MUST get paid in order to teach about Christ, love and being saved.
Jesus didn't get paid. Why should they?
