Wow, I see myselft doing the same things now that you did. I'm starting to let my kids develope friendships with kids that are not JW, I've been honest with them, they know my feelings. My oldest clings to the JW's however at the same time questions a few of their teachings, I try to show him things out of the bible that prove certain teachings wrong. I think he will come along, I hope. My husband is reading the bible now more than he ever has, we are having wonderful discussions. It really is true that the bible is alive with Jah's holy spirit.

we scoped out the small town for its amenities, and this included a visit to the kingdom hall where we would eventually attend.. hindsight, being 20-20, i regret now that i did not try to get my family out of the organization before the move.

I'v got to tell something this!

she's become a bit more tolerant lately, but mostly we get along better when we don't talk about anything substantive.
i've been working up the nerve to tell the elders why i don't go out anymore.

Don't do anything foolish! The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence....until you get there. You need to sit down with your wife and have a heart to heart discussion. Tell her how you feel. Tell her you don't want to be a JW widow. A lot of people make marriages work when one spouse is in the truth and the other not. It takes work...but then anything worthwhile does. I've been married 18 years. Give her the option of staying with you and making it work. If she wants to leave thats her choice. You just need to TALK.

You guys/gals are real helpful. A lot of good info I will have to look up in the scriptures. You are correct. I am a witness, but I recently in the last year have started researching things that I have doubted and or not really understood. The Truth will set you free!...I may have to set myself free from the WT. easier said then done though. So I think the consensus is that no one can prove a resurrection to the earth. Is that correct?

Yes I realize that but what about the resurrection. In the NT you can't deny the fact it talks about a resurrection to heaven. Who is going there? Where are you going to be while Jehovah creates the new earth? On the old one and then he is going to put you on the new one?

I want to partake at the Memorial!
by BQE init's been a strong desire of mine for the 20 some odd years since i've beeb df'd.. what do you guys think?
should i go this year and make everyone's jaw drop??

You know I am not df'd but I do have a strong desire to partake also. I never understood why everyone doesn't partake. I can't find any scriptures that say you should just pass the wine and bread it says take eat...take drink. Do you think they would df'd if I partook? I'm thinking of having a small memorial celebration at my home. What do you guys think. About a month ago I went to an Episcopal church so that I could take holy communion I just really feel it is a way of demonstrating my faith in Jesus.

i was at my grandmother's yesterday and stumbled upon a diary with www.circuitleasing.com on her kitchen table.. seems like the society has their own leasing company now, selling co's cars and they regularly send my gran the information on how to buy since she bought one about 8 years ago from brooklyn.

OK Willpower. That was great. So what your saying is we will be raised up a physical body? To where? Heaven or Earth. Not that I really care as long as I'm resurrected. I'm sure I will be happy no matter where I'm resurrected. I will be happy just to know I was counted worthy of resurrection. I'm just trying to figure out the whole resurrection thing. 144,000? to heaven, Great Crowd? on earth. Spirit to heaven then back down on the new earth? I just want some scriptures to tell me where it says that If I die today and I'm counted worthy of resurrection and if JW's are correct and Im not of the annointed where do they get that I'm going to be resurrected here on the earth. Or if someone has another idea with scriptures to back it up I'd be willing to listen.

Show me scriptures that refer to an earthly resurrection NT or OT I don't care the entire bible is inspired of God. I'm not saying that we are not going to live on the earth, I'm just looking for scriptural proof that we are. The only resurection I can find is a heavenly one.
I went to the web-site the christian hope. OK so if that is the case, why in the NT does it say that those who are resurrected will have a spiritual body and be like the angels. It makes a difference between the different types of bodies. It also says that there will be a NEW Heavens and a NEW Earth because the Old heaven and earth had passed away. If that were the case how can Abraham get the land?
