  Remember bethel tours?

  i can remember going on at least 3 tours.and then going to a bethelite room,everyone would feel so important when they were invited .sisters especially would turn cartwheels when invited to a bethel room,i guess in the hopes that the bethelite was interested in romance.20 people jammed into 10 ft by 10ft room sharing 2 pizzas.the last time i was there a friend said to me with a laugh i cant believe we help pay their rent.lol ahh the memories

  I remember seeing Patterson and the Headquarters...It was impressive - what they do with the money - the marble stairways and such...

  I also remember seeing the Stanley Theater..and all that marble and brass...makes you wonder huh??

  How many of us are in a Helping Field??

  okay - here we go again..how many of us are in a helping field?.

  i liked larc's post on my last thread - and want to explore it too - why did you choose the field and did you do so before or after the borg??.

  so lets see how many of us there are..i bet alot.. this includes lawyers,and heath professional as well as therapists and teachers.... lets hear from everyone!!

  Everyone -
  I hink that instead of think of it as a "curse of the Borg" we should realize that this show's that those who have loving and kind hearts were attracted to this way of life...
  Now we have evolved and are able to do the things we love!!!!
  I was an Occupational therapy assistant ( which WW is studieng - go for IT!!) I enjoyed the time I spent helping others.

  now I get to help my children grow as a stay at home mother - I wonder who I see for a vacation??hummmm??
  Anyhow - I think it shows the best in us!!

  leave me alone...a survey.

  ever since i released the news about the island project im working on, a lot of my online friends have told me that they would probably go crazy if they found themselves on an island.

  maybe they are right but ive been wondering ever since just how much interaction people really enjoy with others in their life.. i know im an introvert and enjoy spending a lot of time by myself but i also enjoy spending some time with others as well.

  1.) I enjoy having lots of friends - but only a few that are close - 3 or 4 maybe...
  2.)I spend at least 12 to 14 hours a day with others - thats only when they are awake - its called being a parent
  3.) Idea time I'd like to interact - I like about 12 hours - then I can get cranky if not given a bit of time - like a bathroom break..without interuptions...
  4.) How long without anyone..hummmm well I have managed about 15 minutes of time to myself - then I start woder what they have gotten into that is keeping themso very quiet...
  - seriously - I ike a few hours before I get lonely ..unless I'm reading a really good book or quilting...
  5.)I enjoy having people around all the time..especially on the weekend..[:)}

  how did you handle the childrens questions when you left he borg??.

  were they old enough to understand, or young?.

  if older - did they see the same things occuring as you did??.

  Do you find yorself still helping others??

  when we were "in" we were often told how and when to help out "brothers and sisters".

  now that many of us are "out" - do you find that you are still eager to help others in need??.

  or are you burnt out due to the amount of time being "forced" helping others before?.

  I find that I want to help others Out of the BOrg...and those who are out who need help getting to know friends and others on the outside?

  Do you find that you sometimes have a hard time saying no?

  If so - why do you think this is ad if not - why not??

  Sorry - lots of Deep Questions are running through my mind tonight...

  I was a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and also an Ememrgency Medical Technitian...Because I wanted to help others get better from accidents and injuries with crafts - A favorite thing with me - and then I got interested in the Emergency part of the helping too...

  i read the posts where alanf and tina both said they called.

  ciro aulicino to ask about the un association of the wts as a ngo,.

  and in both instnaces ciro said "i won't talk to you!

  Although he may definalty suffer from ADD - I doupt very much that the ritalin ( which is to aid with attention span problems..) will help him with his Psychotic "end of the world talks".
  The medication may allow him to do more study on the issue - but not help his mouth to stop running....
  Sorry to dash your hope on the medication helping in that area - I don't know of one that would either - or I might try it for my son who has ADHD...and his mouth often runs away with him...but not in the direction of Ciro's thankfully.
  Just wanted to clear that up

  testolini, 25, is 18 years younger than prince (43).

  i don't know about the rest of you here, although i have a fairly good idea, but the idea that the wtbts can crawl it's way out of paying any taxes really makes me feel .

  Ana,

  Unfortunatly here in the USA - that is a common practice for the churches...no taxes...a good way for most to make some money to pay the court cases for child abuse...
  The basis o it was good I think.. but the concept has gotten out of hand..there are so many court cases against them..I think that they should pull that staus if they have had 1 case of abuse in the congregation that was "proven"..just my thought.
