  How many of us have had issues with Blood??

  how many of us have had a problem with the blood issue when you were a dub??

  what help were the elders in the cong?.

  are you still opposed to taking blood??

  The reason I asked was that I faced a horrible time when My youngest child contracted E. Coli and had hemolyitic Uremic Syndrome as a result..this dropped her hemoglobin to 4.5 from 14.. so needless to say it was a hard time as the Dr's were adament about her recieving blood - they got a Court order to do so - I was so releived - we had alot of people down at the hospital - from the cong - but none could understand the feeling I had at the time.
  This was my baby's life they were talking about ( she was almost 2 at the time! )
  Thankfully she had a mild case and recovered..but it was the begining of the end for me.
  I'm glad to see I was not the only one with the feeling of relief that the court stepped in!
  As to blood today - yes I would accept it!

  PUPPY TALK! - a fluffy topic

  what kind of dogs to you people have, and describe their personalities.. i have two jack russell terriers(jrt) ans one black pomeranian.. god, the two jrts are a riot!

  dudley is the older one(5) and is the boss.he is faster and stronger than edgar.

  dudley generally let's edgar chew on him, but when dudley gets pissed, he kicks edgar's ass.

  I love dogs - and have 2 at the moment ( only due to hubby not allowing me to stop at the humaine socisty any more - - go figure! )
  The older one, Maggie - adopted up my youngest child - and is her loyal companion. She is a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Shelty - all black with the cocker ears and long flowing tail - has one strip of white from her nose to her belly. She is great - although I do have to admit she is a handful and has in occasion tried to make mud pies with a bag of potting soil, a 25 lb bag of flour and her water dish...
  The younger one, Kaya, is a German Shepperd and Collie mix I beleive - her ears are a shepperds and she too is black with white on her belly - she also has brown on her paws. She has a look of "stupid and loving it" on her face at all times - the perfect happy with anything dog! She is more mine than ever - she follows me constantly and is a 40 lb lap dog - she'll leap into your lap if you look at her! She is the Lover of the 2 dogs. We beleive Mags is about 1 and a 1/2 and Kaya is almost 1yr.

  Both were rescued from the Humaine Society and are wonderful additions to my family - although my hubby calls them " Dumb and Dumber" at times.

  I need divorce advice !!!

  neither my wife or i have committed adultery ,we have just grown apart and annoy each other to death what shall i do?

  Nightwing...
  First, let me express my deep regrets that you are thinking of this.
  I know that things seem very bad - but you need to talk to someone who may be able to help you find out what has changed in the marriage.

  I agree with Mommy and Safe4Kids..if there are kids involved it is a very difficult thing.

  If you are thinking that the divorce will solve all of your happiness needs - then you need to take a step back and rethink this.. divorce makes alot more problems than anyone - except those who have been through one can ever realize.

  I urge you to seek marriage counciling and to try to sit down and write down what it was that drew you two together in the first place..then really look at the list you have made and try to figure out what has changed.

  Unfortunatly if one is determined to divorce - even if the other doesn't want it - you are in a losing battle and you have my sympathies.

  Please know you can e-mail me any time you wish - I have been through this process 2 times unfortunatly and yes, it did include children each time.

  Remember bethel tours?

  i can remember going on at least 3 tours.and then going to a bethelite room,everyone would feel so important when they were invited .sisters especially would turn cartwheels when invited to a bethel room,i guess in the hopes that the bethelite was interested in romance.20 people jammed into 10 ft by 10ft room sharing 2 pizzas.the last time i was there a friend said to me with a laugh i cant believe we help pay their rent.lol ahh the memories

  I remember seeing Patterson and the Headquarters...It was impressive - what they do with the money - the marble stairways and such...

  I also remember seeing the Stanley Theater..and all that marble and brass...makes you wonder huh??

  okay - here we go again..how many of us are in a helping field?.

  i liked larc's post on my last thread - and want to explore it too - why did you choose the field and did you do so before or after the borg??.

  so lets see how many of us there are..i bet alot.. this includes lawyers,and heath professional as well as therapists and teachers.... lets hear from everyone!!

  Everyone -
  I hink that instead of think of it as a "curse of the Borg" we should realize that this show's that those who have loving and kind hearts were attracted to this way of life...
  Now we have evolved and are able to do the things we love!!!!
  I was an Occupational therapy assistant ( which WW is studieng - go for IT!!) I enjoyed the time I spent helping others.

  now I get to help my children grow as a stay at home mother - I wonder who I see for a vacation??hummmm??
  Anyhow - I think it shows the best in us!!
