My JW mom refuses to attend my wedding!?!?!?

i am getting married in a few months and i thought this would be the happiest part of my life.

d-yell---- The JW,s never tell anyone they cannot do things such as go into a church- or talk on the internet and things such as these-they may suggest that it may be inappropiate, but all have free will. And there are some who are weaker than others and should listen to the suggestions made- as for me personally-i would never walk into a church because i see them as the house of satan, and probably your mom does as well. Now when Jesus said that he came to tear families apart-these are the kinds of things he was speaking about. Your Mom feels she is standing up for God.as you do too- The best solution would have been a compromise- compromise is always the best solution-saves alot of trouble-saves alot of marriages. Your wedding day lasts for 1 day your relationship with your Mom lasts a lifetime.

Kurtbethel-- I am not so sure that when one is made perfect that the use of tobacco is a bad thing-afterall didnt God create it-, but After the Jw teachers warned about the use of Tobacco-the tobacco cos added poisons-Why would they do this at such cost? they say that its so the nicotine rushes to the brain- thats probably part of it-but i personally think that it was allowed so that smokers wouldnt live long enough to collect their ss because the baby boomers were coming to retirement in awhile after that and theres no way the govt can afford their retirement.They are allready bankrupt. But thats my personal opinion. not a JW opinion- so no need to twist it out of proportion.

onthewayout-- Humans asked for this world in the garden of eden-this isnt Gods plan,Paradise is Gods plan. God is making sure it never happens again- The goats are being weeded out forever. Does one who cannot even make 1 blade of grass,or hang a trillions of tons planet on nothing actually think that he can reason why better than God who created everything and has seen it all-I tell you the reason he let it go on this long was so it never happens again. And even if God spoke from heaven to the entire inhabited earth, after a couple of weeks or months they would be back doing the same things-example- After the israelites saw all the miracles on their behalf- within a week or two made a golden calf to worship-This is how stupid humans are. After Peter saw Jesus do all kinds of miracles he denied Jesus 3 times. Fear of men and the word patriotism will be the downfall of the majority of humans at Harmageddon. The only way to rid this earth of wickedness is to destroy it-God has been warning the earth for nearly 100 years through the Jw,s-Its humans fault if they are killed at Harmageddon not Gods fault.Fear of the ridiculers, which could include ones own family members.

onthewayout-- I will take my chances at judgement 7 days a week with a religion that made mistakes and corrected them, i would never go to judgement with disunified religions that shove the teachings of Jesus aside and kill one another for a man made word patriotism, Millions upon millions slaughtered, not to mention all of the family lines cut off as well. Not to mention the teachers failing to warn them about the false god worship practices the world added to their holy days. We shall see who satan owns.

Flipper-- Mr Russell did make some errors in the beginning,But how easy is it for an imperfect man to undo 1750 years of lies overnight? How is it he knew years before that in the fall of 1914 peace would be taken away from the earth? In Peters book after Jesus died satan entered and had certain teachers teaching lies that Peter had to correct-Why did satan keep attacking the israelites to fall out of Gods grace over and over until finally they had Gods son killed? Here is why-satan attacks Gods religion-He owns every other one he infiltrated every other one centuries ago and the false teachings are never corrected- Peter showed what would occur in Gods true religion-corrections would be made in front of the hearts of the ridiculers. And One cannot be possibly right unless corrections of the mistakes are made-and in the end Jesus will prove to be with the ones who made the corrections.

even though mind control is initiated by the cult involved in controlling it's members - hassan points out - it actually becomes a psychological disorder which can entrap the victim himself or herself - all the while - as they are being controlled by the leaders of cults.. on page 55 of hassan's book " releasing the bonds - empowering people to think for themselves " it states what happens in a destructive cult , " in a destructive cult, the locus of control shifts to the group or it's leader .
the new recruit abdicates his ability to make decisions.

Consider this-- Adam and Eve, even though given free will were controlled by God, It was God who told them how they should live- So by exercising her free will against what God had told her was the best path-We now have this world-A world of confusion. Eve was Perfect-God spoke directly to Adam, yet he too exercised his free will as well- Obviously without the direction given by God human thoughts on matters are usually wrong, especially now in this imperfect state of being. And if one thinks they can out think satan on matters they better step back and think again. He was there before man was in existence-He has seen it all-He got to Gods elite all the time. So i ask you- how does one think that they can read Gods word better than men who have studied it their whole lives? And if you say the holy spirit will guide you-then i have gotten that answer probably 50 times yet when i ask what is a 7 headed beast with 10 horns-Not one of them has a clue. But the answer is right there in Gods word.
