oh, when i saw the stones and the beach boys in relatively small venues in the 1960s, i thought maybe it would last another year.

Does the average JW know anything about Menlo Park?

It's too expensive. Af for restaurants.... my opinion is that you would want to be in a very culturally diverse areas in either Brooklyn or Queens. Certain neighborhoods give you everything from Afghani to Yemeni and everything in between. I don't know about favorites but I like Parkside in Corona, Queens...it's very good, real noce for a date. I also like Limoncellos in ELmhurst Queens- an Italian Cuisine restaurant so good you would think that the kitchen was full of Italians and not hispanics. Airwan thai restaurant in Bayside can't be beat. The chocolate room in Park slope Brooklyn is dope. Sahara in sheepshea (?) BK is a cool turkinsh restaurant for nice time with the fam. Sylvia's in Harlem. The food cart in Midtown 53rd and 6th. Yeah New York is cool!

3.5 years vs. a lifetime of going door to door.
by tootired2care indid it bug you as a witness that jesus only had to go from door to door for 3.5 years, and he was done; while he demanded that you do it for your whole life without preparing for the morrow?
i just remember a few years back reflecting on the daunting prospect of doing it my whole life if the end didn't come - "sooner rather than later".
what are your thoughts?.

@ Mr. Freeze- Please don't assume in the negative. What do you know? Perhaps he entered someone's house through the fromt door and after he ate, taught, slept he exited throught the back, thus completeing his door-to-door ministry.

i looked.. throwing in a few extra hours and placements worked pretty well for me too..

All Jws I know did nothing but watch Telenovelas. It was a real problem the Elders would talk about it. Well, I thought they speak about because were obviously wasting half their lives either watching or gossiiping about imaginary characters. Never thought they weren't allowed to do it.
@Band. I attended protests too. I forgot about that. Completely about leftist politics and sticking it to the man. If a cop shot a black man I was protesting ( as one should) and whenever the U.S. decided to invade foreign countries i was protesting (as one should).

I read other translations of the Bible, Historical Criticism, The Qur'an, Talmud, Epic of Gilgamesh. Asked question, thought independently, make snide remarks about the not so end. Tried to help my family keep a level head regarding the big A. That did not go over very well.
I also ALWAYS had worldy friends and refused to be friends with kids in the congo. I'm surprised I lasted that long. I audaciously, unabashedly, even defiantley listened to rap music... Loudly. And not the "you make me go round" garbage. But real "protect your neck", "Thug life" gangsta sh.....
Oh and the movies. Oh all those movies.
I also never studied for a Watchtower and I was never ashamed of my unmarked magazine.... Yeah I'm a badass
