  Catholics cannonized the Bible, right?

  isn't it true that the roman catholic church put together the bible (canonized the books), and decided the order and all that?

  if this isn't true set me straight please.. what do the witnesses think about this?

  is it (the bible) just as valid if part of "christendom" decided which books of the bible would be included?

  What about Justin Martyr? He was the most eminent of the fathers who wrote in the mid-second century. His writings in proof of the divinity of Christ demand that he use the four gospels if they existed at his time, yet not once are they mentioned! Nowhere in all his writings does he mention them.

  None of the four gospels are referenced in any other part of the new test. Furthermore, no artwork or any other relic of antiquity executed earlier than the later part of the second century has ever been discovered that can furnish evidence of the existence of these gospels.

  Yeru, They quoted from the apocryphyal books of the new test. not the four gospels.

  i recently read nikita's story and she mentioned that she briefly came across the religion of theosophy in her travels towards of dub-ism @ a young age (thanks nitkita :) .

  her post reminded me of my studies of madame blavatsky, colonel olcott, annie besant, cw leadbeater, etc., the founders of theosophy.

  a book i recommend regarding madanme blavatsky is entitled "madame blavatsky's baboon - a history of the mystics, mediums, and misfits who brought spiritualism to america.

  i asked this q in another thread but thought the question might fit in better over here in bible research .

  thinking out loud again.

  it doesn't seem to matter what bible you read, unless you're looking for discrepancies in translation it's not easy to just abandon the big picture.

  Ona, I believe these two things to be true:

  1) The Reptilians are the true rulers of this planet.

  2) The spaceship is coming for us soon.

  I can't prove this to be true but feel comfortable with it!

  All the gospels are prieslty forgeries created over a century after their pretended dates! They were not heard of till 120 years after Jesus had supposedly died and were unknown to the early Christian fathers. In reality none of the Gospels were written by their purported authors and no mention of any new test. text can be found in writings prior to the beginning of the second century, C.E.Makes you wonder about the historicity of Jesus, doesn't it?
