  Thread for support of diet and exercise...tips

  last nite in chat i had a good time talking about different weight loss strategies and exercise.

  i am trying to get myself in shape ,start walking and my diet is in need of a major overhaul.

  what do you think is the best way to get in shape?

  I've found a low carb diet to be the most effective for me when i want to lose a few pounds. As far as exercise; weight training, stair stepper and rowing machine. Used to run but have gravitated toward lower impact aerobics in the last few years.

  Stocking Stuffers?

  any ideas for good stocking stuffers?.

  i have peppermints, chocolates, lottery holiday scratch-its, and a john wayne dvd (the searchers) for my husband.

  any other ideas?.

  Just purchased a hot sauce called "Ass In Hell"...........the label was somewhat prophetic!!!!!!!!!

  Those tiny liquor samplers are pretty cool stuffers.

  Me and My Man!

  me and my man are off on our very first holidays tomorrow (saturday 14th december).

  we are going to spend 7 wonderful nights down the coast about 2 hours from melbourne.

  i am really looking forward to having a break.. the only down side is that i will probably not be back on the board until january 2nd when i am back at work .

  i was so impressed when my wife called and told me i was mentioned on the jwd thread "who are the smartest posters here".

  http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=42252&site=3 i felt bad for the truly smart posters on the board who were linked in any way with the likes of me, and disappointed that not enough credit was given to those as oldhippy, janh, norm, kent, hilarystep, larc, pathofthorns, jt, and hawkaw all who should have been listed near the top with the others identified.

  I tend to refrain from contributing serious, or heartfelt posts...that's just my nature, but this question...........who has helped me grow?, I must respond to.

  There is a gentle creature, kind and caring, who roams this board offering love and encouragement, insight and knowledge. She is one of the brightest people I've ever met, and one of the kindest. She has helped lead me back to paths that I'd thought I,d never walk again by her simple caring and urging. She is unique, misunderstood by a few, but appreciated by the many, and rightfully so! I am proud to call her my trusted friend. I'd like to emphasize the word proud! There is certainly nothing special about me, but still she graces me with her friendship and encouragement . I consider myself truly blessed, and much wholer for having known her. She's been through alot lately, and certainly deserves much better.

  Thank you Xenawarrior for being a friend to me and so many others. You are most special!
