  in another thread the point was made that the wts is ending subscriptions to the watchtower and awake!

  magazines.

  isp rightly commented the following, "the wts gets double payment for the mags from the r+f......so subscribers are not cost effective!".

  really true.
  The WTBS is changing its - modus
  operandi- and will continue to do so, for
  financial reason and also to avoid as much
  as possible, that the literature arrives to

  those that she views as - enemies and apostates -!

  I do agree also about the lenght of the Conventions,
  most probably thay will cut down, to one for all
  the year.

  Reports on this board and I can confirm
  from my informations,wrote of attendance decreases
  i.e. Friday morning/afternoon attendance
  at District conventions .

  In Europe , I was told that it was down
  in some places as much as 35-40%, with highest
  attendance only on Sunday morning.

  I'm alco curious about the possibility on one
  and only magazine...! Big money save.

  a national human rights organization is taking jehovah's witnesses to task for claiming to support human rights while denying them to members.. approaches to education, inc., a arizona based human rights group, went public this week about its concerns that the jehovah's witness religion claims to support the un declaration of human rights while at the same time that it denies those rights to its members.

  while jehovah's witnesses claim to be crusaders for freedom of religion and human rights, and in favor of religious tolerance, this is not what they practice within the group, states john b. brown, the executive director of approaches to education, inc, individual members of the jehovahs witnesses are not allowed to question their religious beliefs, because this questioning may elicit a punitive response by the religions leaders.

  Please,could you elaborate more on this?

  The statement are reflecting a real situation,

  among the JW's although today it is even difficult

  to "...slowly becoming inactive ...", for the simple

  reason the you'll start receiving calls...to encourage

  to come back to the fold or to see if you may be categorized

  among the - dangerous, almost apostate tipe - and so start

  procedures against you to disfellowship you even if you don't

  appear in front of those so called - judicial committees -!!

  So much for the defense of individual human rights!!!

  Submission to authority

  one of the core beliefs that i hold is that the only hope for humanity is the willingness to submit to some guiding force.. witnesses would point to jehovah as being that guiding force.. as of now, i would point to love for others being that guiding force.

  one of the main differences i have with the witnesses is that they see god as a person with a personality and a planned agenda.

  i see god as a mindset that we either choose to be part of or not based on our willingness to submit to this idea of loving others.. are you willing to submit to any authority, whether an actual identity or an ideology?

  in the case of the WTBS Inc.:

  That is exactly what they want to do !

  Quite a while ago, I did post something similar

  with various quote about this. They - WTBS -print

  something but act contrary even to their own teaching

  and writings.

  when rutherford ran it it was a "freedom of speech and dam everyone else" group.

  when knorr ran it it became a us corporation with mormon overtones (no facial hair, sex is bad, masterbate and you will die).
