Damn,
You rip my heart out and move me to tears like that and then tell me it's made up!!!
Damn!!
Mackin.
todd was so cool.
he'd lived in his mom's garage ever since the day he'd announced that he wasn't going to attend kingdom hall anymore.
he worked at the taco bell on the corner of front street and el rey avenue and he was saving his pennies so he could move out his own.
Damn,
You rip my heart out and move me to tears like that and then tell me it's made up!!!
Damn!!

i got this from my mother in an e-mail.
yes, that's right, my mom sent it to me.
she wrote in the subject line..................i knew there had to be a reason for the shape i'm in {lack of}.
It's true Prisca,
Don't you wish we could lure more Australasian XJW's out of the woodwork?

ROFLOL @ Refiners
Mate, I didn't think your glasses were that thick. Do you have cataracts as well?
Mackin
how's the weekend going for you?
here in the great sunburnt country it's time to put the feet up and relax with a good cuppa, whilst i guess the north american posters and lurkers are still raging on saturday eve.
wherever you are, take a few minutes to just relax and unwind and enjoy reminiscing.
While i was still a good 'dub: # 2
While I was trying to create the impression of a good dub: # 3
When I was on the way out: # 6
Near the end: # 7

Refiners:
I don't know about a stud. LOL But I agee that Lilacs is a babe. Pity that all the XJW honeys are in a different country to me.
Mackin (of the stuck in the South Paciic backwater class)
hulloo all,.
to cut a very long and oft told story (on boards like this at any rate) very short, i was partially raised a jw (tho' never baptised), and now i've reached the stage where my very modest collection of dub literature must be disposed of.
it's lived in a box in attics and high shelves in various houses for the last 12 years during which time i've been sh*t scared to go near it, but equally scared to get rid of it for fear of seriously pissing off his almightyness up in the heavens.. well, over the past year i've been through a few of the usual "eye openers", coc & the gentile times thingumygig whatsit doodah, and evolution books too.
I'm now a "born again atheist" I suppose you would have to call it, and very happy with my decision.
Me too.
I (like many of you, from what I read in your posts) have missed out on that whole socialisation thing that people seem to go through in their childhoods and early adulthoods, and I'm finding it hard work to develop those "friendmaking" skills as an adult. I suppose it's why, at 10:30 on Saturday night, I'm sat in front of my computer screen whinging about my parents rather than being out down the pub or dancing my socks off at some venue suitable for the purpose of sock loosing dancing.
I can really identify with how you're feeling Iggy. I have been thru the same experience. I can say tho that it gets easier with time. I still don't have a lot of friends tho.
I didn't burn all my WT books (I had a very large collection, almost everything they've published in fact) 'cos where I live you can't light a bonfire without a permit. So I put them all out for the rubbish collector. I can't tell you how good it felt to see all that 'dub propaganda going into the back of a dump truck.
Also, I went thru all my stuff and threw out all vestiges of my former 'dub life, even old convention lapel badge cards and programs anything that was connected with the Borg. Now if you searched my house you'd not find anything connected with the WTS. It was a kind of cleansing. Very therapeutic.
Mackin.
Edited because after 1/2 a bottle of red wine my spelling is shit.

Ok, time I got around to doing this. Sorry, been a bit of a slacker lately.
I'm a 43 yo single male, B/Day is April 3, 1959.
I like movies of all sorts, especially Drama, Thriller, Action, Romance or Sci Fi. So if you want, you can buy me a DVD. I'm currently thinking of buying "O Brother Where Art Thou" & "Spy Games". (I can handle zone 1 US format DVD's no problem).
Although I love to cook and particularly like American style food, New Zealand has seriously stringent laws governing the importation of food & agricultural items so any kind of foodstuffs or "natural" products (wool, fur, grass, wood, seeds etc) are best avoided.
I love wine, esp. red. It's a bit hard to send tho.
I love gadgets (bit of a geek-boy at heart).
Like all kinds of music except country. Would *love* Dire Straits - Alchemy CD also Morcheeba - Big Calm.
I like cologne & aftershave etc. Current fave is CK Eternity.
I like New Age type stuff, stones, crystals, candles & incense. I'm not really into the philosophy, I just like the stuff.
Something unique from your country/region would be ultra cool. Really, I'd be happy with anything, after all it's the thought that counts, right. If you're my secret Santa and you want to know more, just ask and I'll tell ya.
Edited 'cos I just realised there's a $20 limit., and some of the stuff I've mentioned is more than that. Mind you that's 20 US Dollars, about a zillion of our wothless clams. Of course if you want to spend more than $20 dollars on me.....
