i have noticed there is some debate on this board about russell and whether he was a mason or not.

some say he is a part of a conspiracy others say it is nonesence.. i am, to be quite honest, not sure where i fit in this.

i do find it interesting that russell is buried under a pyramid in the masonic section of a grave yard.

They start out making "factual statements", which are total horseshit. Then, when asked to PROVE their "facts", they try to change the thread around to: "Well, you can't prove that Russell wasn't a Mason," like it is incumbent on everyone else in the world to prove a negative, or else their fantasies are true.

I can't figure out whether these people are ignorant, have mental problems, or are just inherently dishonest?

You began this thread with several specific "factual" statements, which I have asked you to prove.

Are you now trying to say that it is only your "opinion" that Russell is buried beneath a pyramid, and such is located in a Masonic graveyard?

Whether you intend such statements to be "factual" or "opinion", PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR PROOF OR AT LEAST SOME EVIDENCE on which you base your opinion.

I would also like to see some of this "evidence":

All I can say, it that in my reading of Masonic literature, there seems to be a simularity in many ways in believing that pyramids are somehow able to help break a code for telling the future and prophesy.

I do find it interesting that Russell is buried under a pyramid in the Masonic section of a grave yard. Is this proof? Well, could you get your loved one buried in a masonic cemetary if they weren't a mason? Could you do it in the early part of the 20th century when Masons were more powerful?

Please provide PROOF that:

1. "Russell is buried under a pyramid."

2. "... in the Masonic section of the graveyard."

I have read some masonic literature from the 1800s (My grandfather was a 33rd degree member)and they mention Jehovah quite often.

Hell, with that kind of evidence, Russell and the WTS must have connections with every religious and quasi-religious organization that ever mentioned or published the name "Jehovah".

The whole system for interpreting the prophesies using pyramidology is masonic in nature.

Based on your track record thus far, I would LOVE to see your PROOF of this "conclusion".

I think the evidence points to a masonic connection but I would love to hear evidence or reasoning as to why certain ones believe Russell was NOT a mason.

Not only have I seen such, but I can partially answer NN's question, to which I suspect he knows the answer, but is tactful enough to let the conversation develop.

The partially hollow Pyramid "was planned" to hold a sealed metal box containing a set of Studies in the Scriptures, the Memorial ZWT, various tracts, photographs of Russell, a copy of the WTS Charter, etc.

BTW, why are you "comparing" the Pyramid to "other humble gravestones"? Russell's gravestone (minus inscription) is also somewhat "humble".

Reseach help needed re: Thailand and JWs

well, yesterday i unearthed the correspondence a friend and i had with the thailand bible society re: the wts doing a press run of bibles for the thailand bible society with no wt imprint on them.

(the society printed some with the wt imprint on them and then did a run of bibles for the thailand bible society with only the thailand bible society imprint on them and no mention made they were printed by the wts.

) i'm making arrangements to make this info public.

I thought that the previously posted emails from TBS indicated that they held the copyright on the Thai version of the KJV, but that the TBS had ran out of stock of the Thai KJV due to their preference for a newer Thai version.

Evidently, the WTS reached an agreement with TBS whereby the WTS would reprint the older Thai KJV, with TBS receiving an unknown quantity as compensation for allowing the WTS to print an unknown quantity for WTS use.

I don't see the BIG SCANDAL here?
The WTS "paid" a rightful copyright holder "in-kind", rather than writing a check.

er...i got this.. london, nov 15 (reuters) - lloyd's of london, the global insurance market, said on thursday it will not quote for several risks proposed to them by the watchtower bible tract society(wts).. the 300 year old insurance market, facing its biggest ever single loss of 1.3 billion pounds ($1.87 billion) from the november 11th attacks on the world trade centre has apparently adopted a safety first approach.. a lloyds representative said we were prepared to quote for their buildings insurance but there were certain aspects of the deal we could not entertain.

he added they wanted us to insure them against the financial consequences of making false prophecies.

we were advised that this may not be viable in view of the past history.

Don't you think that it is incumbent on a supposed "historian", when making an allegation which he knows cannot be substantiated, to warn his audience of such in the initial presentation, rather than waiting to see if his word will be accepted as gospel due to his "established crediblity", and then only acknowledging such WHEN CHALLENGED?

Presumably "Sr." means "Sister" since the older literature used "Br" to refer to a "Brother." Are you asserting that "Louise", "Almeta" and "Alice" were men?

I will give you another try at this, with a hint:

Reread the first 3 statements in the excerpted quote VERY SLOWWWLY, and tell us whether they are consistant, that is, "make sense".

Now try this statement:

SORRY, but RoRo did make the statement in this thread that I attributed to him regarding JFR's alleged dismissal. Check out RR's first post:

Truth is Russell did not care for Rutherford and even dismissed him from Bethel in 1915.

While you are at it, please give us your opinion of how accurate are these statements by RoRo, again found in that post that you can't find:
