well, that's what the july 15 issue of the watchtower says.. in a section obviously intended to boost the reputation of jfr in the minds of modern-day witnesses, the skilful use of adjectives conjures up a picture of kind benevolence.. in just 4 paragraphs, expressions used are "largest convention", "listened intently", "fatherly tone", "children rose as one body", "burst of applause", "prolonged applause", "moving talk", "long line", "gift copy", "moved the audience to tears", "memorable assembly".. now try reading these four paragraphs without the adjectives.
they weren't essential to the story but they sure help to tug at the heartstrings.. it reminds me of the adulation of despots like mao tse tung and stalin who were written about during their regimes in similar language to this article.. note this quote in this section from an "eyewitness": "only a heart of stone would not be moved at the spectacle of youth [showing] complete trust and faith in their god, jehovah".

first, i am not an attorney, and my only connection with the legal profession is that which occasionally arises out of my personal or business affairs.
second, i have no access to court records, opinions, etc., other than what is available via internet search engines.

Just think about it. I was smart enough to post a request asking former Bethelites to post the authorships of various WTS publications, with sufficient knowledge and foresight to lay a trap for a self-centered, self-engrossed Maximus, knowing that he would half-read and misinterpret my post as an attack on his and Barbara Andersen's posts.
Then, I even foresaw that self-important Maximus would childishly threaten to leave the DB and insinuate that he is so important here that he should be allowed to make whatever slanderous comments he chooses, without the slandered party having a right of rebuttal.
Then, I foresaw that 'ol humble Max would end his post with a pretentious statement that I wouldn't be getting an autographed copy of his soon to be released book.
With all this foresight, maybe I should quit working as a troll for the WTS and start working for Miss Cleo!
KK, I see the behind-the-scenes heat (which proves one of my points) has you quickly distancing yourself from your first post. Damn, that's what happens when you get in too big of a hurry and post on the right moral side before checking to find out that all your buddies are on the other side of the creek. That'll teach you to check with them first next time.

KK: I realize that English is not your first language, so allow me to explain why I purposefully chose the word "distancing".
It doesn't mean you suddenly switched your position and jumped to the other side of the creek to join your friends. No, you can't do that, too many people have already read your first post. Your only option to retain your friends, and to retain credibility to onlookers, is to now throw as much shit on this side of the creek as you can and build up a wall which "distances" your from where you found yourself earlier.BUT, don't worry about "word meanings". You aren't the first one in this thread to misinterpret word meanings.
Look back, and see that Max also took offense to my use of the word "crumb" in the thread title. He misinterpreted "crumb" as a "qualitative" judgment of information provided to this DB by former Bethelites. Well, "crumb" is not a qualitative "measure". It is a "quantitative" measure. It means "a small piece of something larger", which fit the point that I was trying to make perfectly.
But again, don't blame Max. He is "untouchable". It's all my fault. Just like when an Elder screws up at the KH. Whichever "publisher" is closest to the scene of the crime, that's the one that will have to take the fall for the sake of protecting the "glorious one's" reputation.

JW's are very similar to Pharisees!!
by Richie inafter reading the book "crisis of conscience", i have now more than ever convinced that the jw's org is extremely similar to how the pharisees were "ruling" immediately prior to jesus' days on the earth.. this book is written in a completely unbiased fashion yet showing all the facts and irregularities being perpretrated from the top hierarchy.
it was portrayed by raymond franz in a extremely balanced manner for which i thank him profusely!!

The way that Max's groupies have been able to twist the intent and meaning of my words in this thread to paint such in the most negative light possible, while twisting Max's words so as to paint him in the most positive light possible, probably has the boys in Legal and particlarly the boys in Writing deeply regretting that they didn't keep you bunch in the Org handy for the next time they need to DF a high profile B'ite.
This DB resembles the Org so closely, and Max and his groupies resemble the Org hierarchy so closely (we have here the MSs, the Elders, the COs, the DOs, and even the GB, as well as the suck-up wanna-bes below each level) that anyone with an ounce of objectivity left is probably puking his guts out.

I'm not even mad at you. It was just that your failure (continuing) to identify the author of "Happiness" just happened to be the "final straw" of a continuing situation of cliques here controlling info available to non-clique members. It isn't necessarily about whether info has been verified or not, came from a confidential source, needs to be protected from "Legal", etc.
Just follow the DB here and it becomes evident that more info is shared behind the scenes via email between members of the cliques than ever reaches the Board, or if it does, it takes much longer to do so. Then, when blatant concealing of info occurs, ....
By the way, you said you know who authored "Hap" due to "homework". Are you saying that info is somehow available if only the rest of us non-Bethelites were better researchers? I doubt that.
AND YES my anger was due to Max's condemnation of this thread based on a totally head-up-his-ass assumption. How dare any hypocrites here counsel me about my conduct without also chewing on his ass for his slanderous conduct.
I'll apologize to him when he first apologizes to me for his needless outburst that could have just as easily been an inquiry as to my meaning.
