Mormons calling /.........JW at home!

a couple of days ago, whilst getting ready for a late shift at work.....knock knock on my door.

i opened to find 2 suited and booted blokes about my age standing there.

before i could say further than hello, the taller one said "now i know what you must be thinking, you think dressed like this we're jehovah's witnesses out to give you a magazine, but you needn't worry, infact we're here to share with you the true gospel of christ"............ actually i said, i didn't think you were, however i'm jw (ok not strictly true as inactive), and i didn't think you were the windowcleaner either.

To say this sort of pissed on his bonfire was an understatement......However we got into a discussion about the Bible. I found it difficult to get them to stick to the Bible as from what I understood from them, they think the Bible is ok as an older revelation from God, but the book of mormon has somehow replaced it and is more relevant and updated.

It would be hypocritical of me to claim to be JW in the true sense, but against these Mormons, I did feel a little of the old me come out. (like it does on this forum from time to time!) Anyways the upshot was after 25 min, I agreed that they could come back anytime, and I placed the latest Mags and the Knowledge book with them...........................My question is who has the "return visit" here..... LOL. Anyone else had this experience?

Bumpersticker

Update on my Dad's stroke

dad is now at a rehabilitation center, getting physical therapy.

he is walking fine now, and his voice is normal too.

he is still having some swallowing difficulties, but i would say he is 95% better.

this is my final and very last post after this i will not return here as someone here made something clear to me.

my faith in god and jesus christ cannot and i will not tolerate others who do not believe to attempt to stumble me or change my mind at all.

my faith stands strong and true and none of you can do nothing to change it.. gods word say "do not cast your pearls before swine".
