RANT: Desultory ramblings of a frustrated cult member
by dorayakii inafter almost a year of living abroad, away from my parents and away from anything even remotely watchtower related, having allowed myself to not worry about these silly little things (yet convincing my parents that i was still going); now that i've been back for about 6 weeks, i feel that i have to put on a double effort to cover over things that i've said or done, and avoid using "suspect" words or phrases like "cheers" or "good luck".
its driving me crazy at the moment, and 10 times more than it was doing before i moved out.
today, i had a mini panic attack at having told a "worldly" friend of mine "good luck".

Won't this film just balance out some of the negative stuff all over the net about the Witnesses? I don't understand why some are getting there knickers in such a twist about Knocking documentary. So what if it potrays the JWs in a good light? You surely don't want all the market do you? I say let each person make up their own minds.

"Catostrophic" Thoughts......
by ScoobySnax ini can be quite happy, down the pub, at work, with friends etc and an awful thought creeps into my mind that my mum might be suddenly ill, or one of my niece/nephews might get hurt/be hurt, it's really weird in that i have to stop what i'm doing and make a phonecall just to check.
i don't tell them that when i phone, just sort of phone like its a casual thing.
it is almost like catostrophic thoughts, i hate them and they always prove to be unfounded, trouble is it does sort of start to rule your life.

You are a people I don't think I'll ever be, thats not to say I don't like the individuals I've come to know, it's just that what you are is still not how I feel about the JW's. Even still the "pull" is great here. and I'm still not even sure what a "Troll" is. I'll keep reading.
