Just watched it on Sky, bloody hell how corny is it!! When I was a kid I looked forward to this for a whole week. Ditto Battlestar Galactica with them silver Zylons with the red eyes that went left and right! And remember Space 1999? ......I always used to think that it would be like that when we got to 1999, instead of spaceships we got the Spice girls or some crap................Ah memories!! Missed Conventions and BBQ's in new houses and all that.......
by ScoobySnax inbugger i missed the convention at twickenham today in london, i honestly really did plan to go, but i just moved into my very first house.
it is absolutely perfect in every way.
got the smartest garden and stace's (who i bought with) parents came up yesterday and bought us a bbq that looks like a light aircraft.

by cabasilas ini'm sure i've seen where the wt society sold copies of both macmillan and cole's books.
does anyone have older awake!

I remember about 15 years ago loaning these books from the local library, Marley Cole and AH MacMillan. If I remember rightly, Marley became a Witness after freelancing/reporting on a assembly back in the 50's, I'm sure his book was called "The New World Society". He also went on to write another book after becoming a Witness that escapes me now. I think that AH MacMillan was always a JW. Both of them at the time though seemed to have the tacit approval of the WTS. Not sure they were ever formally endorsed in a Watchtower publication though.
Of course I could be totally wrong on both counts!
