Ok I'm off to play now, trouble is I'm stuck. I've got to the stage where you blow up the bridge and take command of "both sides of the river" but can I get by and build a decent base from here> No course I can't, Scud storms etc etc.... I'll try now for about the 9th time....wish me luck, I just realised this shouldn't be in the main forum as a leader post, but oh well, its done now... I'm going in........

Whats the best internet music file sharing thingy....?
by ScoobySnax inhave been using morpheus for a couple of years now, and hasn't been too bad at all, got about 400 tracks download.
since gettiing aol broadband, the diversity seems to have diminished a bit, either i'm on the wrong dsl provider or morpheus isn't as good as it used to be.
the one i was on previous (can't remember the name now) went totally pearshaped after it got served a writ for using copyrighted material.....anyway, know of any other good music file sharing sites?

And Brad....if you are any example of "fluid evolution in progress" then I worry for you, and all of us. You aren't as smart ass as you think you are with all the Celestine Prophecy stuff you quote, all it boils down to is a person who has lots to say about "flow of energy", but doesn't like cold hard facts at the end of the day. So heres one for you, and I say this hoping I don't "break that enlightened flow" of yours, and "clog up your passages too much".... Get a life, and stop trying to pigeon hole people into your new found nonscence. Oh, and I hope I'm not "limiting your flow" by that statement... laughable. Maybe you'd like to say something hateful now then print a retraction later?

Jurassic Dinosaurs/ T-Rex Park.
by ScoobySnax ini got this idea in my head about trying to extract dinosaur dna from insects long since trapped in maybe something like fossilised amber and then trying to replicate it within a modern species (say a frogs dna) and using the extra dna to "fill in the gaps" thus being able to maybe, and (said excitedly) clone dinosaurs.
maybe we could get enough embryos to hold in cold harvest, and then use them once we'd built a park, on an enclosed island (like the uk,or somewhere) to reproduce and make real living attractions, like t-rex and triceratops, brachiosaurus etc etc... i'm thinking of big gates that open up to the park, with maybe a tram line type thing running around the perimeter using maybe land-rover type cars on a track.
it'll be really exciting.... can you help?

Daddy long legs..a cruel and unusual punishment
by Brummie inwhen i was a kid we used to catch daddy long legs and throw them into spiders webs on the trees outside...then when the spider had finished of the dllegs we would throw the spider into a bigger spiders web and watch them battle it out....sick huh, i kinda like these things now so couldnt hurt em but any insect that used to come into contact with us had a cruel existence.
anyhow i just heard that the most poisonous insect of all insects is daddy long legs.
just an interesting something that i thought i would share before i go a swatting .

What About The Soul?
by Francois ini don't recall that we've ever gotten into this issue; maybe we did and i just don't remember.
if so, it won't hurt to revisit it; if not, it's way past time that we did.. we were all trained to believe that humankind does not have a soul, but that we are souls.
this teaching came from the spiritual geniuses abiding at jw headquarters in brooklyn, likely assisted by their undefined "spirit-led" descision making activities and with help from someone's secret decoder ring with the secret compartment.. personally, i have 86-ed that particular piece of nonsense a long time ago.

OK Francois..... a standard reply you could expect from me... It was always drummed into me from the Bible that scripture about the soul that is sinning, it itself will die. And the link was that Adam originally sinned, hence we all sin and die as a consequence. I still hold to this, otherwise what was the purpose of Jesus if He was not to redeem what Adam lost for mankind. Regardless of whether you hold the Bible as true or not, thats what I understood about the "soul" Of course this opens up even more questions... I tell you something though, I once had a Labrador dog called Bess who I loved (don't laugh) she seemed to know my every mood, and anticipated my every move. She died about 2 years back after 14 years of me loving her, and I just couldn't understand, why she shouldn't be accorded the same right in death as humans are, in that she would be remembered. I heard from a sister years before that animals are not accorded the same rememberance as humans who have died, are. I found that difficult to understand. What are your thoughts anyway, sounds like you're holding back for a biggy here!! ..

Do I make you feel like this too...?
by ScoobySnax inin response to a previous post of mine about internet file sharing, a poster by the name of brad (anti-absolutist or something) told me that he's not suprised i "steal music files" as from my my previous posts he felt i'd been trying to steal the spirit out of this forum for a while now, and that he despised me more than jws, as my form of reasoning, he felt, was even more shallow than theirs.
admittedly i disagree with alot of posters here and will at times post pro jw posts as i see fit from my perspective.
some here choose not to answer any of my posts, some will and will mainly say i'm mis-informed to some extent, which is fine by me as that is what an open forum is about.

Rayzor... funny you should mention poisonous snakes who bite only when provoked, reminds me of some here, vicious gits. As for the black widow spider, well I might have saved the daddy long legs, but I'd squash that little blighter if he were over here.... My aunt in Australia says they hide under the rim of the toilet....in that case I'd crap on him, and quick, before he had a chance. I don't mind snakes actually, I handle a big ol bad one most days, and he's really quite nice.

LOL .....I just read the replies..... Prisca, what a kind reply especially. I'm glad you see the whole point of open discussion of ideas here (not debate or argument) it has to be healthy. Some here are awful and will try to box you in, as Brad has with his "Celestine Prophecy" catergorisation into 4 types...or others will patronise with "pats scoobys stupid head" etc....We are all people with feelings at the end of the day. Nilfun, maybe the SClub7 was a post too far!!, and Brummie, only you know just how screwie I can get!! ha-ha!
