Franklin, ....why only this year I went to the Memorial in my Silver Cougar Sports 16v 2.5 black leather trim, Low profile alloy wheels. and not one batted an eyelid in the carpark, that was until I nearly backed out onto a group of sisters standing there yacking in the carpark. I jumped out and an astonished crowd from the next congregation looked on, I knew one of the sisters, and she made a playful slap at me. All was ok. I did offer them a ride home......

That was nice to read about some of your experiences. I remember one night a friend of ours having a part on the service meeting, she was so nervous, so naturally we made sure we sat right up front. Just as she settled down to do her sit down demonstration with another sister about conducting a book study, we all put polo mints in our eyes and stared straight forward...... she could hardly contain herself on the stage, we of course stared straight ahead. The Counsel afterwards from the elder even mentioned us, "Thankyou to the comedians in the front row......despite which, Sister so and so showed us how to conduct a study despite distractions....." How we laughed!!!

Sorry drwtsn.....impatient that I am...
Mine was on a family holiday/vacation to the greek island of Crete. We all went to this busy market place in the middle of a bustling village in the middle of no-where. My mum suddenly spotted an old greek man standing right in the middle with a greek copy of the WT in his hand, obviously street witnessing.....she approached him and tried to communicate by pointing to the copy of the WT and then herself, it took a while for the penny to drop, whilst me and my un-believing dad stood around. Suddenly the penny must have dropped, and this old greek man grabbed my mum and swung her around in his arms with tears in his eyes, I've never seen such a hug, or an expression of love since then as I did on that day.........Even my dad had to admit afterwards, it was pretty amazing.

If Your Child or Friend Told You They Were Gay, Would You Be Disturbed?
by minimus inas a jehovah's witness, you know that you cannot practice homosexuality.
it's considered a sin.
if your friend or relative revealed that they were gay, you would be obligated to "report" them to the elders.

This is the big battle that I've had going on inside of me for all of my teen/adult life......the JW me v the Gay me......when really at the end of the day all I want to be is me. It isn't an easy life, sometimes I look at my sister or brother and look what they have with there families, and it does make u feel kind of alone. I don't think I'll ever be able to re-concile myself to what I should be. I just get by with what I am and make the most of that.
