  i stopped for gas and decided to pick up a power ball ticket.

  someone ahead of me had asked for 2 tickets but they wanted them separate and the cashier printed them on one sheet so the customer refused to take them.

  the cashier asked me if i wanted that one and i said sure.

  I won a tenner last night on our National Lottery........trouble is it cost me £7 for the lucky dips.

  What was your most humiliating point of being a jw?

  mine was when my mom signed me up to sit at a table at our local university.

  we had to sit there and talk to students as they passed by our table.

  a few people came up to start a conversation and i didn't even know what they were talking about.

  Do you miss feeling that "Jehovah" was listening to prayers?

  this is hard to explain, but i will try.

  the other day, my neice was put in the hospital for test , after having two seizures, she is 20 and has never had any medical problems at all.

  i now know, that by doing that it seemed to take the burden of helplessness off of my shoulders.

  yes I do. But you sometimes reach a stage where you think that Jehovah no longer listens to you. At least I do. And the fault is not His.

  Are our numbers still increasing?

  haven't seen any threads lately on our numbers decreasing.

  however, i'm happy to report that my son and daughter-in-law have not been to a meeting since memorial.

  they are tired of the hypocrisy.. i wish there was some way to help my daughter but she is rock-hard solid in the "truth.

  i still believe that a new system will happen after armageddon.
