Are there any beliefs that you still hold onto, or at least believe in still. Or have you totally rejected everything you once believed whilst in the "Truth" >?

I still believe that a New System will happen after Armageddon. I'm just not sure who will be there.

    And you?

Personally I don't care.... "God" continues to allow a Babel of "religions" to exist and confuse mankind (especially the Dubs)... only a Mensa candidate is capable of decoding... so I'm not play His silly little game anymore.

Who knows... maybe this is the frame of mind he WANTS me to have.... finally seeing that you can't polish a turd (ie. religion)

RELIGION IS A SNARE AND A RACKET!!! yeah that includes you to WTS!

Now I'll scurry off and try to be a good little human.....

Before I realized the Bible is a book of fairy tales I held on to some of the basic Watchtower teachings. For the three years I was a Christian and the five years that I practised Judaism I thought that,

    God is not a Trinity.

    The Soul is mortal.

There will be a Paradise Earth.

I always wondered this about the new system. I probably should start a different threat with this though; if we were to be perfect in the new system and live forever and not die, what if we have a freak accident like falling off a high cliff and hit a rocky bottom and get splattered how would we live through that; or something similar to that?

    littlerockguy:

I always answered this question by saying that since we will be perfect we would be too careful to have such accidents.

It is like the question for Elders about running short on time while conducting the Watchtower study, do you just read the paragraphs? or just ask the questions and not read the paragraphs? The answer is, if you are an Elder you do not get in that situation.

There are a few doctrinal ideas I still agree with such as no physical resurrection of Jesus' body and the metaphorical understanding of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (ie no super mystical triune God) but most others I find a sophmore in high school first exposed to would wince. . . especially the literal Big A and the magic wand paradise thereafter.

If I have time tonight I may send you a link to describe what is instore for humanity, IMHO!

Im in the process of figureing out what I believe. But right now to me the whole bible seems like a big fairy tale made up to scare and guilt people into acting a certain way.
