Comf, you're right.. Maybe the witnesses helped the mother, because she now knows that her lessons don't seem to have worked, and she might be more diligent in her teaching methods.
However, the dubs may have also lost the chance to witness to her ever again, and she might have listened to them if they had gone to the door in the first place. Maybe they were scared to knock simply because they knew someone was home, so they talked to the children to appease their consciences?
This does not make it OK! Even though they do not realise that they are in a sect (I am not sure if it is a cult), it does not excuse them from 'preaching' to little ones. After all, the WTS teaches that parents are responsible for the ones who are too young to make their own decisions.

Dear Apostates, just suppose....
by TheApostleAK in...that the watchtower bible & tract society really is jehovah god's earthly organisation.... wouldn't that make you all "vessels made fit for destruction" (romans 9:22 - 24) by being opposers of jehovah god and his true organisation?.
just making this warning so you can't complain to jehovah god when his "fear-inspiring day" (joel 2:11) comes that you weren't told.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
this message has been brought to you by the watchtower bible & tract society.

wannahelp, you asked "Now, tell me, what happens when you meet a "meek" elder, if such an animal exists" Amazing was an elder, and he is an exJW, so yes, there are some meek elders, but probably not many.

wannahelp, you said "I'd also like to see just one JW that was open to reason". Well, how do you think that we became exJWs?

slipnslidemaster, the AJWRB is The Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for Reform on Blood and can be found at http://www.ajwrb.org/about.shtml
Lee, this may be a bit way out, but have you thought that if someone wrote a script regarding this issue for one of the popular TV series, it could get some attention? Just an idea that occurred to me, as a lot of people watch TV series.

Qualified bible teachers?
by expatbrit inhere's a snippet from www.watchtower.org:.
jehovah's witnesses provide personal and group instruction in the bible at no charge.
if you would like to have a qualified bible teacher visit you in your home or at some other convenient place, this will gladly be arranged by jehovah's witnesses.. .

G'day Expat. I am new to the board, but I think that qualified means you can find the scriptures used by the Watchtower Society to prove their points.
