Who else is living in a "Sauna"

Excessive heat warnings and temps 100 or above for the past 7 days with 90-100% humidity. The days prior to that were in the upper 90's. A COLD spell is coming through today with a high of ONLY 94. The air conditioning can barely keep up. So far hottest summer on record in 25 years. IT'S HOT!\

Early menopause

i haven't had a menstrual cycle in over a year.

With some of your other symptons I would probably check some of the natural remedies. I had my uterus removed at age 31 and 10 years later had the symptoms of menopause set in. Doc put me on Premarin and everything seemed to be going well, at my annual checkup my blood pressure was 160 over 114, I have always been 120/80. He wanted to put me on blood pressure medicine, no question as to why this had happened. I came home and started thinking what I had been doing different in that time period and the Premarin was the only thing, so I stopped. That was 2 months ago and I'm back to 120/80. Just check all your options and be informed. Good Luck!

Heading to Maui for vacation
by Champion inthis will be our first trip to hawaii and we are flying from the northeast usa.
we will be staying about 8 days only on maui.
if anyone has any suggestions or info about resturants, places, or just fun stuff, i would love the input.

Ditto on Mama's fish house, little higher priced but well worth it.
Buzz's Wharf on the way to Lahaina is absolutely fantastic!!!! Order the Tahitian Prawns and you will think you have died and gone to heaven!
Also, don't miss the sunrise on Haleakla (misspelled I'm sure!) Dress warm the winds on top will freeze you but the second the sun rises you'll forget how cold you are and be in total awe, on the way back down stop and have brunch at Kula Lodge, the little restaurant that is at the base of the volcano.

i remember once this guy who farted loudly several times in quick succession and then apologised to those present in the room by saying: oh had some coke that's where the gases came from, don't worry they are not the smelly meaty ones.

Had a real dumb ass of an elder approach my husband and I at the end of the Sunday meeting, we were standing together. He said to my husband "I need to talk to you about your wife". Jesus, I was standing right there! My husband looked at him like boy are you stupid and grabbed my arm before I could rip him a new one. Never did find out what they wanted to talk with him about, I never went back!

by littlerockguy ini interviewed and hired someone this week to fill a position in my department.
then i am going to have to fill two more positions in my dept.
i emailed hr and told them to process the paperwork.

How about without being too aggressive or confrontational request a conference with your supervisor and explain what you have done for the company, your goals and current projects and what you feel you bring to your position and your benefit to the company. Obviously if you do hiring they place a degree of trust in you. Thus, these are the reasons you feel that you deserve a raise without ever mentioning the lowers being hired on at a higher wage than you are currently earning. If they play ball then you know it's a company worth continueing on, if not prepare an update to the resume.

Does Anyone Know of Any Recent Articles on Drugs?
by manicmama ini hope someone out there can help me with a question i have.
sometimes i still get the mags from the in- laws but toss them out without looking at them.
however, recently my 80 year old jw mother has started acting very strange and accusing my non-jw brother that helps care for her of using drugs in the bathroom and smoking crack while there, among other things.

I was just wondering if there had been any articles within the last couple of months that would have pushed this woman over the edge. She mentioned "cutting the coke" and this women has no idea what that is. I figure she must have been reading an Awake that sent her into lala land. Another reason to blame the WTS, dealing with an old woman on the edge and they push her over!
