  a modern take on orwell's classic 1984.. we all have found the comparison of orwell's book to witness life to be fascinating, so this could be a great play to see!.

  How much money people usually donate to WT ?

  i grew up in the org and never got baptised, however i was wondering recently about how much money my family and old friends are wasting in all that.

  .

  i remember of course never talking in amounts, that it was important to give from what you can not what you have etc but i admit i have no clue how much the average witness gives (say in % of their income).. i'm sure it varies greatly, i'd love to hear what you guys have to say..

  Left at the age of 26. I can't remember ever donating once. Maybe a few food tokens at an assembly back in the day as a child even that is optimistic. I probably spent them on those syrupy chocolate bars they used to have lol. I'm a bit shocked by the amounts being talked about. I don't think that was normal in my neck of the woods. As a kid I used to have the group in my house and my job was to count the box. There was one elder who used to put in a fiver every week and he was the main contributor by a wide margin.

  Yes I get it, its a pseudonym. No doubt he is worried about getting disfellowshipped. He wrote the entire post that Barbara put up in her OP and he states that he will be covering the developments each day.

  i just wanted to add after finishing it last night, it is a must watch for questioning jws...every episode has familiar situations and parallels that will make jws really think (or squirm).

  watch it with someone you want to wake up!!!!

  No I don't think it is. You could stream it if you really wanted to watch it. This is a link to a stream of the first episode you could watch in the UK without a VPN

  my wife found this 1/4 page ad on page 2 of yesterday's nj star-ledger, probably the biggest newspaper in nj.

  pretty telling.. .

  Oh Wow! I had no idea it was becoming so widespread. AO Advocates calling them Jehovah's Witness Specialists.

  What I liked about that Australian lawyer firm was this part:

  We are working with advocacy groups and leading practitioners in the UK and the United States to ensure that we are taking a collaborative approach where possible and that we share learnings across the jurisdictions.

  The belief is the most sacred fundamental aspect of their identity; it is everything to them and the source of much struggle too. You have seen it, shared it and then rejected it. You have thus rejected all that they are. A rejection of scripture would not cause them to hate you as they do. Its the percieved personal rejection of their entire selves that does that.
