The numbers don't lie...or do they?
by stillin inat a recent ca, the co was commending the r&f about mid-week meeting attendance.
he said that it was up 4% since he first began working in our circuit.
i was listening as some were patting each other on their backs about that at last nights meeting and it occurred to me that there were many empty seats.

jam, I noticed that and out of the ones that are still awake there's only about 3 that appear to be paying attention.
But even they may be wearing google glasses and really just watching a movie on netflix.

I found it at the jw archive site.
The guy just to the left of the "box 3" sign does at least look like him.

I'm loving that site
Q: if newton's calculation is correct, it is like to walk 46 years in the wilderness, and I will probably be dead before 2060, only the young will see the end.

I wouldn’t worry too much about Sir Isaac Newton’s “calculations”
He wouldn’t be the first to try and figure it out and be completely wrong.
Can anyone say ironic?

Q: Banker suicide rates are climbing, is economic collapse near? I think so.
No refrences and a search of google only shows that site for the exact match.

Planting seeds of thought with my JW doctor
by Faithful Witness ini have hesitated to post anything about my recent encounters with our jw doctor, because i don't really want anyone to insult her or me, for continuing to rely on her for medical care.
our family doctor is a jehovah's witness.
we were referred to her by our former bs conductor.

Forget the doctor I like that you had a "BS conductor". Sounds quite apropriate.

The yuk factor and others
by jgnat inwill you share with me an interesting discussion on what morals we all may have in common?
my recent reading has resulted in a fundamental shift in my worldview.
it feels like my house of cards have reshuffled themselves yet again, and everything i see, hear and smell is put in a new context.

jgnat that story definitely falls under the "uncomfortable to watch"category.
But it does make me want to add cruelty to animals to the list. Especially when it is unnecessary, like cutting the fin off a shark and throwing it back into the water to die. I do eat meat but I am becoming more and more conscious of how the animals are treated while they are alive.
And I do judge people for producing and being part of those eating shows that seem so popular these days. But that is just because I can't figure out why anyone would want to watch another person stuff food in their mouths -

If all parties are agreeable I say live and let live. Spent way to many years judging others only to find out I was completely wrong.
That doesn't mean that certain things wouldn't make me uncomforable if I had to watch.
One thing that I might judge someone for is being a capable adult while gaming the system. People who collect welfare or workmans comp when they are able to work come to mind. Even there it isn't a black and white issue, the goverment takes our money in taxes, why not get some back if you can.
