by Xander in...some ancient wisdom this way comes?
pulling over from another thread.... i'm curious how many have dabbled in witchcraft/spiritism after leaving the jws.
or, perhaps, before joining.. i'm curious what experiences have been had.

Misconseptions JW's have about us
by terafera ini was talking to my jw sister the other night, long distance.
she, like me, was raised a jw.
she is a sweet, sincere and wonderful woman.

Well, I think one of the misconceptions they have is that when things go good, like they land a great job or someone pulls through a serious illness etc. etc. they believe God had a hand in it. If it goes bad then it was Satan. So what about when things go good for a non-jw? It could'nt be God because they are the only ones who have him. But if they go bad for a non-jw it is because they are not jws.
By the way, I'm in an awesome marriage to a heathen. My question to her would be why are so many JWS getting divorced, in just the last week alone I've heard about 2 more jw marriages ending. -

DYSFUNCTIONAL and VERY STUPID RELATIVES some R JWs
by QUEENIE ini come from a long line of such relatives and a few are jws...i hope i am making myself clear --- hanging on to such folks emotionally and mentally is a very negative endeavor...there are more positive things to do with ones time--i know we do around here...shit watching tv, coloring in my coloring book and picking my nose is a few things i can come up with as being positive -- i am glad jws have the practice of shunning the dissass.
(apostates) while i nurse my infected leg i am able to find time to engage in such activities...i value my private time so i can consentrate on things i find fun and enjoyable...what people find fun and enjoyable will vary from individual to individual...taking water pills / infection pills / seizure pills is a necessity and watch tv is a lot i enjoy doing especially the news -- locally it is showing me there ar some more dysfuntional parents / people than i am or will ever be -- down right ignorant and i have had the experience that i wonder if some even post on this forum!!!!

Classless American Behavior
by Pathofthorns ini was watching the hockey game yesterday and i thought i heard 'booing' during canada's national anthem.
earlier in the week the same thing occurred during the raptor's playoff game.. as some are aware canada has been mourning and burying their 4 dead soldiers due to the incompetence of an american fighter pilot who dropped a bomb on them while they were carrying out training exercises.
flags are flying at half-mast as canadians try to make sense of such a careless mistake.. i find it hard to believe any civilized person would show such disrespect to another country to 'boo' them during their national anthem at any time, and more so during a time of mourning because of death caused directly by american hands.. i sincerely hope american media chastised their countrymen who showed such insensitive, classless, ignorant and disrespectful behavior to their neighbours.

I certainly understand being very upset with the people that boo'd during the anthem, they had no right and that was intentional. But did the fighter pilot intentionally kill the soldiers?

Are teenagers old enought to get baptised?
by sleepy ini, like many on this board got baptised when still a teenager (17).. at the time i thought i knew what i was doing and could take full responsibility for my actions.. 10 years later i realise i knew very little back then compared to what i know now.. was i old enought to make my mind up?.
or could we always at any age ,be looking back at things we did wrong thinking if only i knew what i know now?.
actually how much responsibility can we hold over what we did as teenagers .weren't we pushed by the congregation and parents, we had little knowledge of anything else being force fed the "truth" since babies.. at such a young age aren't we much more vulnerable to brainwashing ?.

O.K guys, now I know my baptism does not count because in my 1st answer to this post I didn't even spell batize right!!!! LOL! I spelled it baptise-WRONG WRONG WRONG. I should write to the GB and ask them to cancel my baptism cause if ya can't spell you should'nt do it.
That should be one of the questions for baptism.
Alright sister or brother so and so the next question is.......
