I had cataract surgery on Feb 12
by Lady Lee ini cannot believe the difference in my vision.
even with glasses my vision in the left eye was poor.
but i can now read a 12 font fairly clearly without the glasses.

Not on jw.org, sister killed in a train crash which some investigators believe to have been a suicide!
by OneDayillBeFree init has been confirmed by some brothers on facebook that a 42 year old sister died today around 5pm when her suv got on the train tracks while the amtrak was crossing in the state of nc.
it came up on the news today although they never mentioned that she was one of jehovah's witnesses.
so where was jehovah's holy spirit in this matter?

Emergency workers pronounced Fowler dead at the scene. It was her 42nd birthday, according to a police accident report made public Thursday.
Witnesses told police that instead of pulling up to the intersection of Hoke and South Blount streets, the vehicle cut across the gravel parking lot and into the path of the train.
Police reported that Fowler’s SUV was sitting in a graveled area between the two railroad crossings before it slowly rolled at 8 mph onto the South Blount Street railroad track and into the path of the Amtrak train traveling 60 mph.
Cary police accused Fowler on May 23 of embezzling around $30,000 from her former employer, the Chet Adams Co., Inc.
Investigators think Fowler began embezzling the funds on Oct. 28, 2010, and continued until March 22, 2012, court records show. She was released from the Wake County jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
I don't know about you guys but I find this whole thing a bit strange.

I don't know for sure Chaserious but that is worth looking into. It has been confirmed by some brothers on Facebook that a 42 year old sister died today around 5pm when her SUV got on the train tracks while the Amtrak was crossing in the state of NC.
It came up on the news today although they never mentioned that she was one of Jehovah's witnesses.
So where was Jehovah's Holy Spirit in this matter? Why was she not saved? And also why are some investigators calling it a suicide? Aren't JWs the happiest people on earth living in a "spiritual paradise"?
It sickens me when the only response I get is always the same, "unforceen occurrences befall us all."
Religion aside, I'm very sorry for this human being and if I could have done anything to prevent it, I would. Even if I was disfellowshipped or dissasociated and labeled an evil, mentally diseased apostate, and knowing that she was a jw, I'd still try and save her. And that is something that I don't believe most jw's would do.

It would be nice to add an undecided option just because I personally hadn't thought about this until you brought it up and I honestly don't know what I'll do once I leave let alone what I'll be believing by then.
I don't feel my beliefs count yet as I'm still in but currently and mentally I feel partially agnostic and part deist. But I haven't given it much thought yet.
Great thread! I love the ones that make you think and your's seem to do it all the time!

Interesting moment on subway today & other thoughts
by sd-7 ini was heading home today, and i saw one woman reading a new world translation.
we made eye contact, but i hope i didn't glare at her or anything... since i was already having a bout with depression today, it didn't help to see her.
so then she gets off the train, right?
