  urghhh... what a disgusting study!7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.

  for example, a sister named anne received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

  the mother wanted to visit anne because she felt pained by her isolation from the family.

  The situation described in this article would easily be surrounded by nonJW family members, neighbors, friends, coworkers, acquaintances, and onlookers. Although WT can issue the command that nobody ask any questions about the judicial meeting and that nobody talk to the dfd, that certainly doesn't apply to all those nonJWs. And when the mother in this WT story recounts what has transpired and shows what the daughter wrote in the letter to any nonJW, what are they going to think? "What a bitch of a daughter in a stupid church. Poor mother."

  
  What is really disgusting is the fact they are well aware of how the onlookers see the shunning. They put all effort to hide it carefully from the public. That's why https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/shunning/ is not not giving an accurate picture and that's why they dilute this dogma when asked by a journalist etc.

  Prince was on the board of directors for the WTS

  i was talking with a friend of mine who knows a few people in the home department at bethel.

  apparently, prince was, as i noted in the title, on the board of directors.

  he apparently was sort of a silent partner or advisor in the whole thing.

  It is disgusting to see that double moral standard...

  If "they" (i.e. worldly people, members of the harlot, mentally sick apostates, opposers, ...) do something it is bad.

  When "we" (i.e. God's clean org.) do the same, it is a big difference, because we are THE TRUTH!

  doing a little thinking here, not really sure how the logistics work though.. lets say the link jw.org is posted here "x" number of times and numerous people click on said link.

  it is my understanding the dubs can see how many hits they get from other websites but can they actually tell what websites the link is coming from?

  if so..... i can picture a sunday talk given in the future... "apostate websites direct weak ones back to jehovah".

  I have been always wondering if they monitor the referer values for HTTP requests they receive. They can discover apostates, if somebody is logged in jw.org and in the other tab he reads JWN, when he clicks reference to jw.org, they will see brother X.Y. is visiting them from an apostate web.

  jws deny shunning, yet lie to not look bad

  i recently decided to take matters into my own hands with my husbands family who have nothing to do with us.

  his mom has seen my son twice since he has been born and his dad has never met him.

  his family will pop in every few months, on top of that like in my last post ask for for money.

  there is kind of external / internal doctrine of shunning:

  External: We shun murderers, thieves, ... according to the Bible principles. We do not break families, normal family relationship continues. see here: https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/shunning/

  This is what the org teaches in the meetings, talk, conventions.
  

  They can always try to trick somebody and pick the right version based on audience.

  And I fully agree with Carla. Either they stop shunning or it is better not to allow grandchildren to spend time with them, They will try to instill Watchtower into the children' minds.

  anyway the new one - MOVE AHEAD WITH JEHOVAH’S UNIFIED ORGANIZATION - is also great:

  What evidence is there that Jehovah also directs the earthly part of his organization?

  Numerical growth [Read Isaiah 60:22] (kr 96-97; statistics from the latest Yearbook)

  Some become critical, saying that Jehovah does not have an organization
  May say that loving one’s fellowman is what really counts or that having a personal relationship with God is
  the really important thing or even that personally reading the Bible is sufficient (rs 326-8)
  Those who adopt such viewpoints are like Satan
  They break away from the Father, Jehovah (1Ti 1:19, 20; 2Ti 2:16-19)

  In other words they say Russell was like Satan when he broke from Barbour? When he said there is no organization?

  So they troll a bit, say some nonsense and when they get spanked, they say "bye bye you mentally sick apostates, i proved to myself you are not as loving as our clean organization"
