  my friends,.

  i need your counsel on a personal matter, and i hope you will give it in love.

  as some of you know, i was disfellowshipped six years ago, but it wasn't until june 2010 that i made up my mind never to return to the wts.

  Hi Quendi

  I have recently got back in touch with a brother who moved from our area and out of the "truth"35 yrs ago he had been closer to me than any friend I'd ever known.Me being new to the borg was too zealous for jw's and let him go.Any way 5 mths ago i contacted him via the internet and its been the most refreshing and brilliant thing ive ever done we speak most days and hes been over from ~Ireland to stay with my wife and I so I say yes make every effort to contact your friend.You've everything to gain and nothing to lose.

  me ex elder, pioneer was very active but am trying to fade.

  one elder knows how i feel and i would not talk to anyone but him.

  i miss most meetings now.

  Hi Love Doctor

  I'm into second yr of fade with my wife still in.I always agree to meet with elders when requested,as to do otherwise allows them to speculate and draw unhelpful conclusions.I haven't been to a meeting aside from the obligatory mem' in 2 yrs however I still get the occasional call from the cobe. I just play along play the game by their rules and still do nothing.They have no grounds to form a commitee for me as i refuse to answer the leading question asto is the faithful and confused slave being gods channel.So my advice would be use theocratic warfare lie lie and lie some more.Don't let them intimidate you.Bye the way I served in the cult as an elder back in 1980 they cant attack you if you just agree with them.

  to jonathanH thank you so much for that post I forwarded it to my son who is 1st yr at university in uk here is his reply

  That does make sense... I found that when I had to make the choice to go to university, there was a lot of pressure from Elders, Mum, and friends to not go simply because I would be putting myself in a dangerous situation - but now that I think about it - The 'dangerous' situation is more simply called LIFE, and I for one am very happy that I made the choice to leave for London. I obviously miss you and Mum, ******,**, the kids, and ****.... everyone absolutely loads, but I am happy that I took the jump and i'm building a new life for myself. Although, i'm telling you it is so difficult starting from scratch - but still fun!!
