Is there a correlation between personality type and leaving the WT?...
by Tuesday inon facebook tonight there was a post asking to take a personality test, in posting the personality tests a trend started emerging that certain personality types seem to leave around the same time.. i came out as an intj which is introverted intuitive thinking judging.
which a good paragraph describing it was:.
intjs apply (often ruthlessly) the criterion "does it work?

Did my wife really say this?! Didn't the Harold Camping prophecy failure teach her anything?
by garyneal ini was talking to my wife last night about various things.
she is a woman who wears many hats, the student, the mother, the teacher, the witness.
a lot of demands on her and she feels like she neglects her family the most.

Here is the sad thing in all of this, NO ONE knows when the end is....NO ONE! so for the "elders" to proclaim they will let everyone know is false. Their first thought will not be everyone else, but their own families and lives. I remember being scared to death that something would happen to my mom while I was at school, and I wouldn't be able to get to her during the big A. If I am correct in my memory, believe it even says" it will come like a thief in the night"....please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've Decided That It'll Be Best For Me To Return To The Kingdom Hall.
by Philadelphia Ponos inafter carefully evaluating the my current life situation, i've come to the conclusion that returning to the hall will be best for me.
i simply just don't fit in with the rest of the world.
i don't drink, smoke, have sex, go to clubs, listen to worldly music, watch movies, or gamble.

Dear Philly,
I am saddened by your decision to return, but even more so by the responses you have received here. This is supposed to be a place for support, with that being said, I ask you to reconsider. Separation from the KH and all it holds is tremedously stressful, all you have known is there. Trust me when I say it is worth it. I do not smoke, drink or speak vulgarly. I do have sex because I'm married, LOL! sorry, it was funny to me. It takes an adjusting period, but you also have to be ready to let go of the KH completely, if you are not, then your best decision is to go back until you are ready. My prayers are with you in your journey to find you.

by Marvin Shilmer incoercion to refuse blood .
today i uploaded a new article to my blog documenting instances of inappropriate coercion to have jehovahs witness patients refuse blood.
the article clippings from the early 1950s are a must read.

I find it interesting that 1, they are working so hard to keep peole from taking blood, why don't they work that hard to prevent child molesters, and adultery? and 2, if they are willing to sneak a blood transfusion what else are they willing to sneak?

"How you and your family can qualify to live there"
WOW!!!! That's like saying "Hey you are now qualified to win 1 million dollars!!! all you have to do...IS EVERYTHING WE SAY!" little overdramatic I know....that's me. The sad thing is, I never remembered them saying anything about family, it was always "would you like to live in a paradise earth?", " where do you go after you die?" it wasn't until recently I saw something about family. Is it possible...they're realizing people have families??

Just a few questions...anyone got answers?
by anniegirl76 ini was a born in, spent 22 years of my life inside it.
i still don't know what the "1975" thing is everyone is talking about, is the change over from one man making all the decisions to a group, for the jw?..next...where does all the information everybody has come from?

Thank you everyone, oddly enough I was never in the "in" crowd...at school or at a KH. I followed what my mother wanted me to do, so yes 22 yrs of being one of the herd, I didn't learn all of this, I also wasn't born till 76. You are all so awesome, thank you!

Gently remind them when her birthday is around..." I can't believe my baby girl is going to be a year old next week!" if they ask, let them know what your plans are, if not, don't bother. Easter is a thrill for the kids, eggs and candy and looking for the eggs! You may not like it or care for it, but it's a load of fun for the munchkins and in turn becomes fun for you, knowing the joy you gave to your child. Your dogs will adjust, if you've had them awhile, they will understand. good luck and it's a struggle at first with kids and JW families, remember this is your baby, do things for her that you didn't get to do....it's wonerful!!!

The Internet and appointed JW positions
by Black Man indoes anybody remember a letter from the org which discouraged appointed ms and elders from having a page on facebook or having a presence on the internet?
and that it could lead to deletion or affect their appointment?.

I haven't read or seen a wt or awake mag in years, but if they did, that would explain why all the "sisters" I grew up with have one and their husbands and male family members don't. I also noticed ALL the girls who got married kept their maiden names and just added their married names to it...
