Yes a year allowance of special pioneering, around 10 k. He writes very suspicious about it, but they offer the same to ex missionaries in europe when they have to leave their missionary assignlent. We were offered 4 months without any requirements of hours, a starter in the real world. No hush dollars at all.

@Oubliette... I would like to quote but I it's hard on this forum.... You have to make a difference between , sp, co and do, on one Side and missionaris and bethelites on the other. The last two are much more protected, the other...sp, co, do are still supposed to be with one leg in the world.

Focus, he did the right thing, for sure, imho, but the lifestyle you point out...I don't agree with that. They live in slavery ( I mean the GB), like anyone else. I own two companies here in europe, lot of work, hassle, taxes etc., but I wouldn't change my life for a million euros a year for a year with them.
Get up, scheduled, 12, lunch, 1.00 p.m. at work, being an example, no nice smoke nor drinks with friends friday night....no their life isn't the dream as some think it is. I lived it (Bethel not GB) :):) and found missionary-service freedom.

He was just fed up with getting up at 6.00 a.m. just as he didn't like going from door to door in Puert Rico, oh yes hè liked to talk to Trujillo in Santo Domingo, and showing off, he is more fake than his former co-members were, maybe smarter, yes.

What is meant by earthly, and living like a god...I understood, material, glory. Hè would not have had the glory and money if hè would have stayed, don't you think?

No it has to do with seniority, nothing with so called importance. 15 years Bethel or missionary, they Will Hardly ask you to leave.
That's according to the missionary book which we had to read and sign every year. And I have seen it in the practice.
