Short waist of time Jeff😀👍!
you didn't like or fell ill?
i have been a missionary in the dominican republic for almost 10 years and i was wondering if there were any ex-missionaries on this forum.. i am back in my country now for 3 years and totally inactive.. what i noticed in those missionary-years was the lack of spiritual interest among the missionaries.. discussions were about rooms, cars and greater responsibilities, the bad territory.
and the local c.o.s and d.os.. was this only in the dr or are there other experiences??.
ere other experiences?

Where did you serve Jeff?
We served in the Dominican Republic 1991-1999, than Brooklyn and Patterson.
@Suavojr...yes I know Pete of course and his dominican wife. They were in circuit, we had some good nights together in our missionary-home. Fun with him, you still recognize his greek "laissez-faire" mentality.
what is the monthly stipend that the bethelites receive every month?
does any one has an actual number?
what was the purpose for those meetings?
?
during a prayer in the kh all our eyes are supposed to be closed, right?
i've never been one to fully my eyes during prayers.
i'll close them down, but just enough that i can still peep around at what's happening without being noticed.. there's something i've noticed a certain elder doing for the second time now.
a bethelite was telling me that there are 83,000 theocratic facilities world wide.
he compared that to 35,000 mcdonalds and 21,000 starbucks roughly to show the size of the theocratic organization.
i am not sure where the 83,000 comes from what would he be counting?
i see years of acute economic crisis ahead for the w.t.
this is evident with letting go of " volunteer" bethalites throughout the world.
but my thread is on the consequences to the individual, and the organisation of letting " volunteer" bethalites go.. so what happens to the captive mind of the former bethalite when they are let go from bethel?
Don't expect to much from the ex-bethelites. There are few with theocratic knowledge and few are spiritual, a lot of them are at branches and at HQ just for image, to please family or any other convenient reason. I was surprised by the unspritual conversations we had when I arrived. Most chats were about allowance, better rooms, closer congregations etc. That and the fact that the higher rank brothers are not being dismissed.

At least they are in their own country ( most of them)... We had to leave (missionary-service) a tropical country and return to northern Europe in december, with no money nor a home.
Lo que no te mata, engorda...They will get over it and will come out
stronger...I loved my new life after a few months.. Money to spend and freedom. Left my privilege as an elder after a year or so arriving here and left the whole BS, including wife and everything.
👍👍
i remember at my teen years when i was studying with a brother that he said to me that there was no rain before the flood.
instead there was this mist that you have.
never before or after this have i heard something like this.

The whole flood story is a fairytale.
All the mountains were flooded. So how did they breath all that time on top of the mount Everest?
