New????
We were never allowed go fishing unless it would be to obtain food. As a sport it was never "done".
so i was just reading a thread and came across a completely new jw 'rule', that of not being allowed to go fishing!..
at least it's new to me as i always enjoyed fishing as did others in my old congregation.
anyone else heard of this or had this imposed on them in they're jw lives?.

so we had brother losch visiting our special assembly day which was weird in itself.
he's not a very good speaker and seemed like he was in dire need of a nap or something.. anyways just a few observations from the assembly program.
theme: imitate their faith.
4 months ago i was conducting the watchtower study along with a long list of responsibilities that come with being an elder in a very goofy congregation.
during this time my health was going down hill.
i've always had a low blood pressure,(102/65 or abouts) but for the past year it had creeped up to 135/90 range.. so 2 months ago after learning ttatt, i'm still considered an elder because the brothers won't let me step down, but i haven't done anything in that time except comment once at a meeting a few weeks ago.
more about cars and n.y.c.. .
back then hundreds of cars were stolen, in the city every day!
the new york post said "the average life span of a corvette (sports car) parked on the street was 24 hours!
i had heard that gb members flew first class, does anyone know if this is so?.
also, bethel living accommodation, do they have same standard as all bethelites or do they get luxury quarters.. same for cars, are they provided luxury cars as was once the case?.
or are they all sharing in the downsizing, who cooks for them, cleans and does laundry.
samuel herd made the following statement at the 2015 annual meeting regarding the reduction of services at bethel.. we will be reducing personnel at bethel.
some bethel family members will be invited to serve in the field.
in addition to their regular work, bethel family members will be caring for many of the services that were previously provided by fellow bethelites.. .

Washing and cooking? No GB member does that, should they? They have, most of them, wives and were and are under Bethel arrangement.
No laundry unless you wish to do so in the basement, breakfast, lunch at the table and supper up to you. Even on sundays we had buffet style cooked meals in the Bossert.

hi everybody, 1st post here.
20 years jw, elder for 6 years, regular pioneer for 3 years, have always been following the 2012 candace conti abuse case with much interest, especially since the case suddenly disappeared from www.watchtower.com's news section (thanks brother j. r. brown, office of public information, because it led me to "worldly" websites for more info), leading to more and more dissatisfaction , leading to jwfacts, jwsurvey, ad1914, wtdocuments etc., leading to my awakening about 4 months ago, now fading faster and faster to zero meetings and zero field service...and you know what?
it feels good!.

1. Sometimes
2. Same standaards. I stayed for a few weeks in Barr's room, Patterson. Nothing special, rather poor have to say.
3. Not by the rule, unless family or friends provide. The ones I knew didn't care.
4. ...
5. ...
6. ... Rolex watch. Is that the end of the world ? I got a IWC from my brother when in MS. What to do, throw it away?
Forget all the stories about them that are told here. I mean look at their suits, shabby like borrowed from their bigger uncle.
