the back cover of the august 15 watchtower offers another example of mind control, reinforcing the concept that there are no honest people except for jehovah's witnesses, and that there is no crime within the organization ("if all people were jehovah's witnesses, who would commit crimes?"):.

reading some of the recent posts on the blood issue reminded me of a verse that i have never yet had a jw explain.

lev 3:17 in the nwt reads " it is a statute to time indefinite for your generations, in all your dwelling places: you must not eat any fat or blood at all.".

jws use other verses to try and show that we mustn't eat blood as = having a blood transfusion.

Blondie, thanks for the info. Yes they could turn to Acts 15. But my point is that this is Jehovah commanding people not to eat any fat or blood "for time indefinite." They use Lev. 7:26-27 quite freely. I'm just interested to know if anyone stopped (or tried to stop) eating fat because of Lev 3:17. ??

I'm sorry, but you are all wrong! This has got to be a true article. First of all, there's a photograph of the lady and you can clearly see her picking up the money! And if that's not enough evidence, the reporter has her conversation in quotation marks - EVEN her THOUGHTS! Must be true...sorry, that was me 10 years ago...the article is a load of bullshit..

i've only had about ten cups of coffee in my entire life (i'm 30 now).

last night i didn't get to bed until 2:30 a.m. so i was dragging about an hour ago.

OK here goes........

Get a good jar of instant coffee (I recommend Gold Blend ) . 1 loaf of bread. Butter . Take 1st slice of bread pick up butter and spread reeeeeal slow...take 2nd slice of bread and spread reeeeal slow . A good dose of Gold Blend on the bread, slap it together then.heaven...

By the way Scooter, there was an elder we all called "Scooter" in my hometown congregation. Just thought that bit of information would brighten your day.
