ok, well we had 7people total to support the silent lambs.
it was me,valis, my roommate, country girl, and 3others from oklahoma.. we had 2 reports show.
one was a talk radio station, and another was from a tv station---no camera though.. the reporter from channel 8 is wanting us to do a documentary type thing.
I was just about hysterical when you said that!!!
TBS,
Why Would Jesus (for heaven's sake) command us to DRINK his blood if it was forbidden to take in blood???
If JWs aren't allowed to take in blood (let alone have a transfusion) why did Jesus command us to drink HIS blood?

The JWs are quite happy to accept, and use, all sorts of dates, scholarly works and references from the secular world so long as they agree with their doctrines, but are immediately rejected if they do not. The result is that they have tie the Bible in knots to make it fit in with their arguments.
Welcome, Tzu!
I look forward to reading what should be an interesting story, especially how both you and your husband left. You must have a strong relationship.

i heard that comment at a meeting from someone that had been associated for 2 months.
(just thought it was interesting).
D8TA,
I take it Comforter and you aren't the best of buddies?
most cults have a tendency to venerate the founder of the cult as a person with supranormal powers.
to illustrate.take an example such as stanley kubrick, stanley is venerated as a genius film maker, but he is venerated for only that one thing.
clark gable might be venerated, but only for acting.
Interesting observation, RF.
Whenever I say something uncomplementing about old Charlie Boy to my wife (JW), she actually agrees with me (the only time she does about the WBTS). " We all know Russell was a bit of a nutter" she tells me. But it does prove your point that other cult leaders (and founders) are seen as Superhuman" compared to the WBTS's "Supernutter"!
