The "routine", The failure

is it possible to do all that is required as a witness?

if one were to put down on paper all that is required to carry out, both with secular work and a good spiritual routine, is it even possible to do all that one is "supposed" to do?.

a basic routine includes:.

It's paradoxical but we are in a 'ALL or Nothing religion'. Everyone legitimatly complains that we are over loaded but if you choose to do less a person is ostracized. And yet it's true doing less inevitably leads to total inactivity in the Watchtower 'form of worship'.
IMO to be a "happy" Jehovah's Witness you have got to do it all or nothing really. I am having a difficult time finding a satisfactory middle ground perhaps because there is none.
Could it be this routine came about by design for the sole purpose to ensure survival of the WT as an Organization?
If the WTS eliminates any of the 'not optional' activities guess what will happen...yes people will do less to the point where they will become comfortable will the least amount possible and finally give up!
What will become of the Society's printing operations if there were no new members and/or the money stopped coming in regularly?
I could answer that but I will refrain.
Our 'routine' is designed to ensure the preaching work continues un-hindered. Again, why?
Although the preaching work is labeled the lifeline for the survival of billions of people, I think it is also the lifeline for the survival our Organization.
Is it any wonder every second sentence has something to do with field service?

from the majority at least.. apparently according to the wt interpretation of god's own book...a prominent spirit creature who made himself satan became unsatisfied and left god.later untold numbers would join the devil.. now the only solution for the future of these 'rebels' would be for god to destroy them.. then the very first human creatures apparently also felt unsatisfied and withdrew from god.they got destroyed.. later god had to confuse the language of all humans because they were unanimously opposed to god.

those people too are history.. then god had an ark built because all flesh had left god's way except for a handful of people.. evidently god was not expecting any great number to actually join noah, otherwise god would have had noah build several arks!

What's up with bookstudy

took the laptop to bookstudy this week so we could check out the site together.

our good brother martini has been posting for some time and has been telling us about this web site where he can say the most outrageous things and people will just basically nod their heads in agreement and say right on, brother.. like once he said, i prefer to do it (preaching) with sporadic and extemporaneous praise in deed, word, poetry and song.

it was totally tongue-in-cheek, but nobody picked up on it.

Not that I wish this situation to become a drawn out mess but I would ask you to refrain from passing any judgement at least until some time goes by which will help clear the smoke.

If you notice this individual has registered under various handles already. I believe it should be easy to insert whatever data one wishes true or false, perhaps Simon can clarify this for us.
Anyway I made an attept to address the matter with Searching and it appears he is still up to his little games. See 'bookstudy post'.

From his response to me I can say this that in the very least I know for a certainty that he is a lair. He may feel like this is a big joke but he will soon discover these are real people he is dealing with and not just "virtual souls".

I don't know who you are but I think I know where you are coming from and for this I have sympathy for you. It's very painful to discover you have been duped all these years believing we had the exclusive truth. I know how it feels, at first you go into denial and try to discredit your opposers, but deep down you know what the hard facts are really telling.
The first step in over coming any problem is to acknowledge and identify what it honestly is.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears you believed what this new character "Searching1" posted about me. Please see his quote:

Welcome Red_Spice,
Everyone posting here has a lot of sorting out to do as far as satisfying their spiritual need, especially since many have become dissillusioned with failing end time WT prophecy.
I've come to appreciate that fulfilling that need has a unique formula,as unique as each individual is different one from the other. Of coarse we have Christian beliefs in common but each persons experience in his/her relationship with Jehovah is personal and can contribute to enrich ones own life but also the lives of those we associate and live with.
The men running the WT seek to impose on us a prescribed religious experience for the sake of organizational unity but all this comes at the expense of a personal friendship we each can have with God. Life in the WT has become one of conformity based on rules and regulations as opposed to one of unity based on a bond of love.
This WT legalistic method is not working with many witnesses.Perhaps you husband is one of these.
Ask yourself why do you require a spiritual head (husband) over you? Does worshipping God with your whole mind,etc require you do this together with some other HEAD over you?
Could the WT have underlying reasons for stretching this whole 'man is spiritual head' thing, perhaps like giving them greater control over it's members by using the men to enforce obedience and submission to WT policy? Some family men have felt undue pressure and burden upon their heads to ensure that those 'under' them perform according to all the dictates of Society.
Repeated calls upon 'family heads' to prevent any family member from falling short can rob them from enjoying each family member for just who they are and not for what they are expected to be.

I'm sure your husband has God in his life. His relationship may not be identical to yours or 6 million others, but what he has is probably working well for him. Accept him for who he is.
I think Jehovah accepts us for who we are and not for what we are expected to be.
