we've been advised by australia's major network, channel nine, that their investigative programme entitled "silent witnesses" will go to air this sunday, september 22nd.
it'll be on the 'sunday' program much like dateline and panorama and will screen from 9 am to 11 am.the story itself will be around 40 to 45 minutes in length.
depending on the response from this story, they may decide to run the panorama story with a follow up on the aussie story the following weekend.
This is absolutely fantastic news Ozzie, again many thanks to everyone involved!
Channel Nine eh?

all right- all those out there who own pets, or have owned pets will hopefully see my point of view and understand.
the rest of you can point and laugh at my weakness.... my cat is dying.
she is 119 in people years, i guess it's to be expected that she go sometime, but still it sucks!
It's remarkable how the relationship with your cat can grow. People that don't know cats are very dismissive of this. Although many cats are completely stupid, occasionally you really get yourself a real gem, a cat you will never forget. When you've grown up with a cat for 20 years, and you get to know them so well, they get to know you intimately as well, and they become so perceptive to your moods, don't they? I can really appreciate how you feel, it's heartbreaking when you can see your pet is suffering, and that tough desision has to be made.

ok, now, it is time for a fluff thread.

Smarties! Being like the lord himself, a God of supreme order, as a child I used to divide the colours out and eat them separately. I noticed that only the orange ones actually tasted of orange, and these special ones deserved to be eaten last.
does anyone remember attending the district conventions at twickenham stadium in london?
big north east south and west stands that were made of what looked like green corragated metal.
i can always remember the delicious smell of coffee, doughnuts and bacon rolls, and queing up with 5p meal vouchers whilst dribbling all over my songbook.
Ozzie, Twickenham is by far the best place for looking at birds, but not the ones with feathers!
.
hello..........oh dear.. into the lair of the apostates i tread!.........
I'm the opposite of Trucker, I'm an "always been" and still am a Witness.
well, here we are with the twentieth of our weekend polls!
doesn't time fly when you're having fun!
this weekend's poll is a serious topic and invites us to exercise our dub trained minds to solve a problem in helping us to reach to those who want to honestly look at their situation within the organisation.
Yes, I agree, 1, 7 & 9 seem to be what I heard from my family and the congregation.
As the weeks move on and the show is blocked out in their minds as they continue in their dubbery, 4 is starting to kick in.

Twickenham rugby stadium has been used by the Witnesses to hold conventions since the early fifties. It is a very large stadium, and can hold upwards of 80,000 people all seated! However, the attendances at the Twickenham convention don't go above about 23,000 - so there's plenty of room for everyone!
It was unusual to see sisters as "attendants" for the elderly
The elderly can now sit in the big conference centre under the south stand out of the rain.
Sisters are now used universally as stewards and attentants at assemblies in the UK. I understand that some mysoginistic brothers have complained to bethel about it!
I could still hear the talks, as they had loudspeakers fitted everywhere
Not anymore they don't, they only have speakers in the stadium. The only way you can hear the programme outside is by bringing a personal FM radio with you.
Some people never actually leave their car, preferring to listen to the assembly with their car radio.
